Cracking little camera, go full auto and when you get confident go full manual. Much bigger sensor than compacts and not much smaller sensor than found in DSLR, great results.

Yes.........But take the time to read the manual and the results are brill.
Total control if you choose...... Fully automatic if not.

All depends...............The Sony has the benefits of being a bridge, so covers a lot of area's and situations but the Olympus is better quality (shot wise IMHO) than any bridge but its all up to each person and what they intend to use the camera for!!

lol, different class
i have a tz10 and my sony nex3 is miles better - latter is in same class as the olympus - though my dslr is better than both
but each has its advantages and disadvantages - eg tz20 is pretty good though ive heard the tz20 is worse than the tz10 due to their stupid quest for more mpixels at the expense of quality but the tz20 is highly portable

Would I better off returning the Panasonic and going for this one?
Edited By: TheQuilt on Jul 09, 2012 00:35
Again same sort of position but I think the Panasonic has better image quality than the Sony bridge anyway but I would say IMHO (And I use the Panasonic FZ45 too) this Olympus is better in terms of quality but doesn't have the reach as only comes with the 14-42 against the Panny 20 times OP. But its a matter of opinion, each to our own.
