3x Optical Zoom
Gives an equivalent to 38-114mm focal length for great flexibility when shooting.

Digital Image Stabilisation
Counteracts the effects of camera shake to reduce the resultant blur, saving otherwise ruined photos. ISO can also be set up to 1600 to give the fastest possible shutter speeds in low light.

8 Megapixel Resolution
For great, sharp results and the possibility of enlargement right up to poster size.

Face Detection
Locates faces in an image area and ensures they are correctly focused and exposed.

TruePic III
This image processor acts to speed up image handling and improve image quality.

24 Scene Modes
Including Portrait, Landscape, Night modes, Sports, Indoor, Sunset, Fireworks, Behind Glass, Beach and Snow, and Underwater modes plus many more.

On-Camera Editing
The following can be applied to your images without having to download to a computer:

Black & White, Sepia, Resize, Attach a frame, Attach a title, Attach a calendar, Red-eye reduction, Correction of saturation, Shadow Adjustment Technology (details revealed in shadow areas)

I paid £180 for one of these last year to go to egypt. Underwater pictures are amazing, very clear, underwater video is also very good. I am so happy with it. I wont use it for normal picture taking only because of the lack of zoom and I chose a yellow one but other than that I get a lot of use from mine :)

>3x Dig Zoom

You have 3x Digital zoom in your subject line, when it should be 3x Optical zoom.

Digital zoom is almost a total waste of time and is usually never worth quoting.

Optical zoom (where the lens moves in and out) is far more useful and important than digital zoom.

Sorry about that, I've fixed it now, thanks guilbert53 :)

so so tempted.
If it's the same memory and battery as my old mju i think i will, otherwise it's quite a cost to buy xD cards etc.

Don't forget Quidco...

Good little camera, especially at this price.

don't think the picture quality is the best, however for the price and functionality, i don't think anyone can complain

I have an old 35mm film Mju.

The standard is excellent, and it did not let me down in about 15 years of use, inculding a stint working as a photographer - when I used it for quick pictures by moving myself so the picture would fit the frame rather than zooming a lens. I would guess over 500 films went through it. It was also dropped, and hit off things during use, without any problems. and was small enough to take where cameras would hinder access or ban entry. The build quality was fantastic, especially for a camera that had a sliding front, and the images were on a par with the SLRs I would have been expected to use.

The downside with the digtal mjus when I looked at them was they only used XD cards.

This is a brilliant little camera I bought for £130 a few weeks ago, this is a great price! :w00t:

Doesn't sound like the same camera at all. This has 3x zoom and isn't available in yellow!

It's been £99 for some time now on runout at DSG so Jessops have finally matched. The new ones replacing it are over £200!

That looks deeper than 3m

It takes an XD card also, but you do get a MicroSD card adaptor in the box now too (or at least you did with the one I purchased from Currys a few weeks back at the same price). Adding a £2.99 2gb microsd card and bob's your uncle.

Voted hot (but only because I think most Currys have now sold them through)

Just bought one with a collect from store. they were £129.99 if i hadn't pre-ordered.

It does come with a microSD adapter and luckily for me takes the same battery as my mju 700.

The only feature that requires an XD over microSD is the panoramic mode, which is pretty useless on the whole I found.. although it does look better on this model - as do all other features over my old one.

highly reccomended , at least after my 10 minutes of playing

I am having trouble getting the site to accept any of the voucher codes

Can you see if they work now, have tried both (independently) now go.

However both do work on other products when added to the mju (only discounting the extras) and both work on other cameras if added?

Wonder if the web special has anything to do with it?

So the manual reckons, with the new firmware, however if using SDHC micro SD cards the panorama function will not work
#28
Im gonna get this SDHC micro card, it may be useful to others who dont already have a card:

Thanks for post OP very hot!

i used QUIDCO5 for 5% off and 6% for quidco. The code did not work for me so i called up and they took £5 off straight away.

i just hope quido tracks to make it £79 odd.

awesome deal!

I'll try it when i get home tonight, unless somebody else has proved it already..
The panarama feature on this actually looks reasonable though, unlike my last one where you had to stitch them together on your PC and not on the camera.. still not sure if it's something i'd use. decisions decisions.

i'll check tomorrow - the card i used was pretty full (from my phone) and hopefully my brand new play one will arrive.
the play offer seems pretty permanent, so no rush really anyway :)

Thanks for the deal - decided to go with one, at this price it won't go wrong. I'm sure it will come in handy to have a camera as durable as its big brother.

Edit - picked mine up, much smaller than I was expecting so I'm pretty happy with it.

Only available for store pick up and no stores near enough to justify the journey

Has anyone seen this camera for as good a price anywhere else online? Thanks!

PS Seen a similar model for £99 on Amazon http://www.hotukdeals.com/visit/?m=1650&q=367677 is this worth thinking about?
