My advice would be to handle an expensive camera before you buy. If you have a Jessop shop near by, this would be my choice. You can get 4% cashback (TCB) as well if you "reserve & collect".

Hot from me.
Popped in to Jessops to have a look at it and it is a nice piece of kit. The online reviews rave about the JPEG processing engine and the JPEG / RAW comparison images are very impressive.
This model has now been replaced by the E-PL2, though at sub-£280 this is a great price.
I'd probably go for the Jessops deal to get the extra cashback and also though Amazon are excellent they can be slow with dispatch on SuperSaver delivery.

The price for this camera has been drifting downwards in the last few months.

Personally, I like the look of the XZ-1 better. http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/OlympusXZ1/ is a review of that. At the moment, that is £350, and you can't change the lens. However. it looks to have a good compromise between picture quality in a range of conditions, versatility and ease of use. A feature that I really like with the XZ-1 it is that it charges from a USB lead. When I travel, I usually only have carry on luggage but I will have a laptop, so it would be nice to not have to carry around a separate charger.
