Olympus has announced the SP-590UZ ultra-zoom digital camera. Trumping Kodak's 24X zoom, the SP-590UZ features a 26X zoom lens that covers a 26-676mm equivalent focal length range. Thankfully there's image stabilization to help prevent camera shake at the long end of the zoom. Like previous recent Olympus UZ cameras, the SP-590UZ can record RAW files.

Most powerful optical performance in minimum size: 26x wide optical zoom (26-676mm*) from extreme close-ups to the action as well as landscapes, 130x incl. digital zoom
Avoids camera shake and blurry images thanks to Dual Image Stabilisation (combines mechanical and digital image stabilisation)
Dont miss the moment with high-speed 10fps sequence shooting**
P/A/S/M exposure modes for creative freedom
High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) technology incorporated for viewing images in high definition on HDMI TVs
12 Megapixels to make prints up to poster-size
Advanced Face Detection of up to 16 persons for perfectly focused and exposed faces. In combination with Shadow Adjustment Technology other main parts of the picture are also correctly exposed.
6.9cm/2.7 HyperCrystal II LCD with a bright display even in brilliant sunlight and at extreme angles (230,000 dots)
Built-in flash and wireless flash control directly from the camera body
Liven up your memories with movie recording with sound (up to VGA resolution at 30fps)

Still great value even with delivery.

I think littlemeglet meant that the price in the header should INCLUDE delivery.

I never understood how Olympus is getting away with charging so much money for this bridge camera when Fuji charges about half that for their equivalent models. You can get a F200EXR for £250 from the Fuji web site and the S models are between £110 and £150 max.

Those bridge cameras become less interesting with DSLR's getting cheaper by the day.

I know what your saying, I've been very tempted myself between one or two different models and this, although never seen the F200EXR any cheaper than £269 so far!

Personally, I don't want to be carrying a DSLR & 2 or more lenses around all the time. Many's the time I've wished I had a camera with me & missed a great opportunity.

Cheaper (free delivery) here :

http://www.simplyelectronics.net/mainproduct.php?pid=7044

and here as well (again free delivery makes it cheaper)

Although some very suspect reviews of both of these companies and of the original seller referred to by the OP. Do your research before ordering...

Both Simplyelectronics and Crazycameras are GREY IMPORTS. Crazycameras contact details are in Portland USA - http://www.crazycameras.co.uk/about-us-doc_1.html

They may be a little cheaper, but if something goes wrong - then you will regret buying from them

however, saying that, camerabox also sells grey-imports at times....

Yeah - I wouldn't buy from any of these three companies, camerabox seem to be the worst but they all get very bad reviews. Although we all look for the cheapest price for things stories like these (below) go some way to showing that sometimes it's worth paying an extra 10 or 20 quid for a reputable dealer...

Just looked at some YouTube samples of the zoom on this camera - it is absolutely awesome

If I buy this then I am (maybe!!) stopping using hotukdeals. It's costing me way too much...

yeah I must admit I've looked at those reviews and youtube videos of this model, and I'm very impressed by what I've seen. I'm considering this against the Panasonic FZ38, but like the look of this one personally.
