Used to be, seem to lost their way recently, especially in the compact market - I used to have a C50, which was brilliant for its time, but can't think of a single model of note since. Some very nice new SLRs though, but again completely off radar for many.

I'm using a 6MP C60 Olympus, like it alot.

Noted  - but its nearly 3 years old and it will be as good as this, if not better for image quality. Olympus have stood still in that period - except that their image quality has suffered from squeezing more pixels on to an ancient chip. In the meantime fuji have launched umpteen new developments of their chip & processing engine.

...hence possibly the current price of this.

Taken from the review on Steves-Digicams:

"...Olympus SP-310 was disappointing. When we first saw the specs of this model, it looked very appealing. And we loved its ergonomics, image quality, and versatile exposure modes. However the poor shooting performance and short battery life really brings it down and it is very hard for us to recommend this model. We feel the shooting performance suffers due to the very slow recording media (xD-picture card.)"

It might be the right camera for someone though - thanks for posting hittheace.
