Surely, however poor Very are, this is a computer that they ship in a box. Very either send it to you, or they don't. Pay by credit card, and you are protected against them failing to ship. The computer itself is guaranteed by HP.

I'm inclined to agree, especially if incentivised by a £300 discount, although simplistically: product warranty obligation is with the retailer who will discharge that obligation via whatever method it chooses which may or may not include the manufacturer; if over £100 purchase paid by cc then cc issuer assumes joint legal minimum warranty obligation. The manufacturer may or may not accept a direct enquiry from an end user but is under no obligation to do so. Also note HP has a term in its t&c which attempts to circumvent EU Directive 99/44 whereas Very does not.

Amazon have it for £100 more but you get double the RAM and double the SSD storage.

£50 more but larger SSD. Would take gigabyte over hp for gaming every time. https://www.scan.co.uk/shop/computer-hardware/laptops-gaming/geforce-gtx-1070-gaming-laptops

Your one is 10% lighter and states a 24 month warranty - whilst the OPs states a 12 month warranty. Would go for yours over this for certain.

EDIT: HOWEVER the real deal here is this laptop for £1200 with the Very 20% code. The OP has not made this absolutely clear.

EDIT2: It seems you get a 10% discount on electricals, not 20%. Therefore this deal price is £1350.

Thanks guys the bigger ram is a hit for me still a huge saving over some of the big names. Hopefully the price will start to drop with the 1050ti around the corner. Hopefully there maybe some more choices???......:)

This looks like a good alternative. Thanks for sharing.

Only downside I can see is the screen on this one doesn't have G-Sync whereas the HP does.
