Wow! £17.99 for the complete set of "On the buses" from amazon! Cheapest elsewhere for this is closer £70!!

Details: Complete collection featuring every episode of hugely popular 70s sitcom. The series follows the comedic adventures of London's laziest bus drivers, Stan and Jack, as they make a career out of not working--except when it involves flirting with the ladies or plotting against their villainous manager, Blakey.

Thanks go to Potlepa.

On the buses trivia.....

ON THE BUSES WAS THE TOP BOX OFFICE MOVIE IN 1971 BEATING OO7 DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER.

REG VARNEY OPENED THE FIRST CASH MACHINE IN ENFIELD, JUNE 27 1967.

THE BBC REJECTED ON THE BUSES THINKING IT WOULD NOT BE A SUCCESS.

I'll admit this show was before my time, but I'm sure there are one or two members on here who would like it :)

First run was before my time too (believe it or not) but watched repeats during the eighties.
Did you mean the educational bit could be your motto or were you thinking, "I hate you Charliethirtytwo (you smart-ar#ed sod)"???

Is there not some way you could add "Emma's threads...not just entertaining, but educational too!!!" over the links to all the walk-thru guides your sig contains???

No chance in receiving these. Got a dispatch estimate of 8th March with Express Delivery.

Stargate S8, Seinfeld S5+6 and Seagal all cancelled this year alone.

I don't fancy the chances, what is happening to the once reliable Amazon?

Yip which is a shame-lets all await our cancellation emails as theres no way their gonna give this boxset to so many people at this price....
#23
Ordered, thanks...no hope of getting it though. I am convinced they do this on purpose!
#24
On The Buses seems even funnier now then it did at the time. When it first came out, it was during an era of brilliant sit-coms (mostly on the BBC) that are still being repeated today.

Just ordered this myself for £16.19 using my 10% discount off for being a member of amazon's DVD rental club!

Ohhhhh I used to love this. They filmed it where I used to live (Borehamwood) & sometimes you weren't allowed to go round to the shops because the film crew was out!
#34

We (myself, sister, Mum, Auntie and cousin) used to watch this on a Friday night whist my Dad and Uncle nipped for a swift half (in the days when children couldn't step inside of a pub!)

We used to look forward to them bringing us back a packet of crisps!!

The simple pleasures in life back then! :giggle:

Happy Memories :-D

Good posting, thanks! Rep adn heat added

Hi all my first post, I've already got 1-6 on dvd but as this became so cheap, I thought might as well.

The series was filmed in North London (Wood Green), my girlfriend who I was with for 7 years lives there she even met Bob Grant once, I only found out that they filmed there when I read about it in a comedy book.

I had been visiting the place where they filmed my favourite comedy show and knowing nothing.

Still £17.99 and as yet no cancellation e-mail....
