This normally sells for just under £16 in the supermarkets - although Asda and Ocado have it dropped to just under £13 now - but to get two for £20 is the best price in ages. Cheapest price elsewhere for one is £12 in Aldi. (All prices are for the 50cl bottle - obviously its cheaper on a booze cruise - but with fuel prices now its hardly worth it - other than depriving those who are about to up VAT to 17.5% again of the revenue).

Anyway - returning to the plot - its got to be the best whisky liqueur - far nicer than Drambuie - but seemed too up market to be included in the two for twenty quid offer, also it was not included in the previous post for that offer.

I got 2 bottles a few weeks ago from Tesco Extra, but not found in smaller stores.

Various items are included in the deal, but if you like glayva, then buy 2 as this is a cracking price.

Other spirits are:- Captain Morgan rum, Bacardi, Gordons, Smirnoff, Malibu, Archers, campari, tia Maria, Amaretto, Tequila, Grants and Whyte Mackay wiskey, Baileys(original, mint, caramel, coffee)

Popped into one of my local Extra stores (Coatbridge) and it has a full promotional end devoted to the 2 for £20 spirits - and they had this on it. Had at least about 7/8 cases of this out.

Well that's great but I'm not in.....................Gibralter as like most of us! No doubt it's cheaper in Spain, France, etc., but I am in the UK hence hotUKdeals!!! :-D

Heat added, I love Glava and it gets especially hammered at Christmas.......just got to hope I can find some!!

I think he's referring to the suggestion that it's cheaper on a booze cruise rather than encouraging people to nip over to Gibralter for a bottle

Ok, I'll be the philistine. What kind of drink is it? Is it similar to anything else?

Like Drambuie but less of a buttery taste - also less sickly and more refined.

Glayva is a liqueur from Leith, Scotland. It is made from a blend of aged Scotch whiskies, anise, clove, herbs, heather honey, tangerine, other citrus fruits, and almonds. It has a deep gold color.

It is produced by Whyte and Mackay Ltd of Glasgow, Scotland.

The name is an anglified spelling of Glè Mhath, which means "very good" in Scottish Gaelic.

Glayva is distributed in Australia by Think Spirits.

Oh man Gibraltar - if I lived there my liver would be in tatters!!

I remember from last year it was £4.50 for a litre bottle of woods rum (58% vol)! Mind you the place is a dump and you get attacked by monkeys, were it not for that id go and live there (petrol at 50p a litre is a bonus too!)
