excellent price

A great remote and works very well. Bought one last time a deal was posted on here.

Very dated now, Macros require the memory of an elephant, save the extra cash and opt for the Logitech Harmony range instead unless you just want rudimentary functions this would not easily replace complex button operations.

great price and it works well.

points to be aware of ;

it's heavier than most, having a metal body
the edges on the top and bottom of that metal body have 90 degree corners - drop it on furniture and glass or wood may be damaged
The back of the remote is curved, which means, if it's on a smooth surface, trying operate it without picking it up may cause it to slide.
it eats batteries a bit faster than others that I've had

that apart, a good remote with lots of i/r power - way more power than the original remotes that it's replaced.

h and r OP - good find.

would this work with a dvd recorder? I really need a record/stop function etc. Cant see the buttons from the pic provided. If not anyone know of what product I should be looking for?

I managed to pick a clearance one from Currys on Friday for £2.47 but it was most likely the only one left in the country,

The magic key and macros on these remotes are great for making Panasonic Blu-ray/DVD players region free. (and probably other makes of players. See AV forums.)

would this allow me to access the menu function on a sagem freeview PVR? Ive just bought a universal remote that operates the basics but not the advanced functions...

I'm using one for that right now - full menu options are navigable etc

I got my remote about 18 months back when they wre on here for about £35 so can't remember if it's just a 4 digit code to key in for the sagem, or if I had to teach it how to operate it, either way it's easy enough.

mine controls the plasma tv, a/v receiver, digibox, ps3 (via blutooth dongle in the ps3) and a conventional vcr - with keys to spare, great for the price but my earlier observations (above) still apply.
hth!

Voted Cold, Same Price On Play.com and many other well known sites

I find the lack of tactile feedback on these remotes a complete pain. Got a Harmony 555 for £40 and it's orders of magnitude better (but yes, I do appreciate it's over twice the price).

I'm afraid I don't feel this is even worth £17 though!

bought one last week cant get it to work my yamaha av amp ,tmight have to send it back

Bought one of these from play a few months ago - wouldn't recommend it. It's too bulky, it makes a buzzing noise when it lights up, you only get a limited amount of free updates, lack of tactile interface (as StormB pointed out) means you're often looking at the remote to change channels & has a lack of functionality on my TV/DVD combi & Creative DDTS. I'll migrate this remote to a lesser used TV & get a logitech remote.

Does this do Sky +/Hd?

I would love a 5 in 1 remote got one about 5yrs ago and could never understand how to make it work after many months I got it to work on the TV only and it did not do all the things the tv remote did ... so one day it got lost and i did not bother to look for it when got a new sofa 3yrs ago I found it and put it in the bin

I know in the last 5 yrs things would have moved on but do you think I am ready to try again? and if so would this be the one for someone who is not to teck minded?
