Good deal. Cost me 60 quid about 2 years ago
any good? better than Logitech Harmony ???

Nope get a logitech if you can afford it...these things eat batteries like fresh air...
Yep, if you can afford the logitech harmony then well worth the purchase but for this product at this price its a good deal... Ive had one for about a year, great quality and never let me down..

Not sure how much battery life it uses but for me found it better than having five remotes with 5 sets of batteries.. (does my nut in tryin to find in batteries that havent ran out!):)

No comparison, Logitech Harmony you program via your computer, they have text customisable buttons for other remote functions which is far handier than having a memory of an elephant....

For example, say you wanted to utilise the angle function of your DVD Player, on the Kameleon you would have to program that function onto one of the unused buttons, say something like the "green" button.

On the Logitech, in the display you can have a customisable button actually marked as "angle".

You soon get the drift that unless you have the memory of an elephant or have very simple remote controls, things like the Kameleon are useless for all those extra button functions that come with the likes of AV Receivers and DVR remotes
As a past 2 x Kameleon and 2 x Logitech owner it's a no-contest : Logitech Harmony's would be where I'd start my search. The recent deals of the 515 model at c£18 = the way to go if you can spot one again (for 5 devices & glossy silver), otherwise the higher models.

I now have owned both and agree with the others , Logitech all the way for me

Cross i didnt get one sooner its that good
I bought one of these thinking it was a barhgain at £16 or so.

It certainly does the job OK, if you can live with its unysual styling but I then went and bought a Harmony 555 for £40 and agree with otheres here - there's no comparison.

You can currently get a Harmony 515 for about £20 plus postage from Misco and that's a much better bet as long as you're IT literate and can cope with the effort it takes to set up a Harmony remote using the PC software.

My 8305 is now dumped in a drawer unused and I've just ordered another Harmony for the Kitchen...
My KRC was made redundant last week when my harmony 515 arrived - excellent bit of kit and still available for under £20 delivered - easily worth the extra £3.50

i have a harmony 555 and it is excellent!
