I guess few cagers realise riding a bike can be so hardgoing. Its like stepping into another world sometimes with windroar, foggy streaming wet visors, water blasted everywhere and the cold..esp on fingers.

Not bad deal. Grips are selling for about £55 on auction sites. Voted HOT

Has anyone else noticed that magazine websites are not very well maintained? This offer still being shown three years later is not unsurprising. Another magazine website advertised a competition that you could enter online, problem is when I got there the competition was nowhere to be seen and they were still showing the previous months competition!

LOL a lifetime of riding sheds has taught me to 'look for the highground' when parking up ;)

If you wire it up correctly with a relay linked to a circuit that is only live when your ignition is on, then you'll never leave it on and drain the battery.............Had mine linked to my lights.....

Some instructions here how to fit a relay. You can buy the relay from Maplins...

They also have a tendency to drain the battery slowly even when turned off, after a few weeks of snow you may come back to find the battery on it's last breath.

Taking out the fuse when being left for a week or so solves it.

But great deal, might restart my subscription after they accidentally cancelled all my direct debits when I cancelled some other mags.

If they're like the ones I got a year or so ago (and with the + and - buttons it sounds like it) then they switch themselves off a few moments after the engines stops and they see the battery voltage drop.
Likewise they won't switch on until the battery voltage is above normal i.e. with engine running and charging. I've had no problem with battery going flat.

Hot Grips, great.
Still want heated clothing tho.
Done my time riding with hypothermia, uuurgghhh, nasty business (the pain of seriously frozen bits reheating oh Jebus I remember it too well)

These things are brilliant. I've been riding for 17 years and only just last november tried heated grips. All those times where I got home with my hands in agony are a distant memory. You can have toasty hands when it's -12 on the motorway! Its well worth getting them wired into the ignition and make sure they are off when you start the bike up.

I had the slightly cheaper velcro on ones, which heated your hands up great, however, the extra bulk took a bti of getting used to, so these should be great :)

Heated grips... have some heat...

Anyone actually receive the grips or mag yet?

Anyone actually receive the grips or mag yet?

I went for this deal the 1st copy of the magazine arrived today (Sat 12th)

I chased the delivery of the grips yesterday (Fri 11th) with Great Magainzine's, but was advised to allow upto 28 days for delivery, but they are on the way the order has been sent to the despacthing warehouse, BTW There is a discount code somewhere that I found and used I sucessfuly for £5 off years subsription also tried quidco but the quidco has not tracked and I can't lodge a enquiry for thsi merchant with them.

But all in all this is an excellent deal as @ £45ish for a set of heated grips and 1 years supply of a decent bikers mag can't go wrong..
