Great bargain for a stay at this place - b&b and 3 course dinner as well for less than £33pp!
Postmen are renowned for being the harbourers of bills, jury summons and jumpers from Auntie Millicent. Escape the dreaded knock of the mailman with today's Groupon: for £65 instead of £155, spend an evening away with a significant other at Rookery Manor.

Deep in rural Somerset, just to the north of Rooks Bridge, sits this charming sixteenth century manor house. Fronted by a raised column porch and set among landscaped grounds, the whitewashed Rookery Manor fuses the stately with the quaint. Living up to its four star accreditation, it offers guests spa facilities and a brasserie as well as a bar, gardens and conservatory.

Holiday-making Groupon holders are invited to leave it all behind and spend an evening with a loved one in four star luxury. Make the most of the retreat by relaxing in the spa rooms, quietly reading a book by the bar or strolling around the grounds. Come the rumble of the tummy, sit down and indulge in a three course meal. With an extensive menu on offer, perhaps try the kiln smoked salmon with chive potato salad and basil oil (£6.95) to start, a 10oz Scotch rump with hand cut chips, balsamic vines and a green salad (£16.95) for a main, and round the meal off with a local cheeseboard (£7.95). When the sun sets and it is time to retire, pass the night in palatial surroundings in one of the hotel's elegant double bedrooms. In the morning, awake at leisure and enjoy breakfast in the restaurant.

Photographed a wedding there a couple of years ago - there was definitely a bar then!

Bar or not, its still a good deal.
