This is either an excellent deal, or Three have got confused and there's been some sort of miscommunication, as this is normally £25/month, and I was in my local Three high street store yesterday looking at this plan and asked the guy if there were any other deals on The One Plan available, and he said no, £25/month is the only option.

I do have a Three PAYG SIM, I might phone up and see what they say if I ask about upgrading it from a PAYG to a contract, and see if I can get offered a deal as good as this.

Is there a particular number/department you rang to get this?

What length of contract is this? I just signed up for the 30 day rolling One Plan, and it was £25 a month.
£8 is super hot!

If only the network had decent coverage...

I get a similar deal to this for £5.50 a month with three less minutes but unlimited txt and data for 12 months and i can upgrade at any time during the 12 months.

called upgrades but told me no

Also told no. They offered £20 being the cheapest and as usual, claim no one has been offered the package at that price. Seems they don't communicate within their departments or prefer to deny it hoping you'll pay the full amount.

Was that £20 for The One Plan (in its entirety), or was it £20 for some "cut-down" version of it? It's just that I might even consider taking them up at £20/month as I'm paying £15/month for my current contract (with O2), so £5 extra for the exra benefits would probably be worth it for me.

Very much doubt ANYONE will be able to confirm this,if the op got this deal it's amazing but I can guarantee no one will come forward & say they also managed to get the same deal.

I am also on this plan for £8pm since January. I called up at the end of my contract and they offered me this sim only deal. It is a 12month contract with the exclusion that I can call up three and upgrade to a mobile deal at any time.

Not sure personally why people complain about the signal, works perfectly on the iPhone in london.

best mobiles have a similiar redemption offer on tmobile at the moment, with quidco, works out about 6 or 7 a month for 18months

I called three to cancel as I was going to take up the T Mobile £7.82/m 600min/500text 0.5GB sim deal. They came back with £8/m 500 mix&match, unlimited 3 to 3 and 2.5GB which I accepted as It is the larger internet connection that I need most.

Goodness knows how the OP got his/her deal. I spent ages speaking to three a couple of weeks back and they would not go below £10/m and and above 1GB, so I was very surprised when they offered the above deal.

Glad to stay with three though as I find their coverage excellent and accessing voicemail and customer service is an extra charge with T mobile.

All 3 retention deals are unique and I really don't know how they calculate them, they offered me (paygo) a better deal than a friend who was with them for 3 years on contract and we were both looking for an upgrade at the same time!
Sorry but anyone else will be hard pressed to get this deal.

Redemption deals are best avoided IMO. Also 3 have much faster data speeds than T-Mobile, which may be important to some.

about 2 years ago i took out a plan from 3 that i found on this site using £3 a month discount + 25% discount, then i changed tarrifs and was able to carry over my discounts to the one plan which brought me down to about £17 a month. The I called to see if I could get an android handset upgrade and was told it wouold be about £35 a month including my discounts but he was able to give me the one plan for £11 a month I have no idea if this is including my discounts that i had with the other plans and i dont really mind.

For my downloads i plug my computer into the mobile and let it do its thing for 24 hours downloading 5gb+ of films and use my landline for xbox gaming and surfing.

so would definatly rate tis as hot BUT only if you are a current 3 customer and are willing to spend some time on the phone to them.

The discounts do carry over? That's interesting as I have a three contract sim on a £15p/m texter plan that I pay £3.25p/m thanks to some random discounts lol. Would love to change it to another plan if I can keep discounts!

im in my last month and they offered me the same £5 discount on the one plan on a flexi 12month contract so can upgrade anytime.
im after the galaxy s2 on the one plan and its like trying to get blood out of a stone to get a decent deal with them now and ive been with them 6 years.

totally changed how contracts work with them now, the upgrade period is a waste of time you cant get any decent deals and however long you have on your contract the remainding amount cost gets spread over your new contract.

everyother network you can ring up tell them what phone you want and and a discount is made, not with three oh no they keep certain phones for offers for customers only trying to sell you certain phone your not interested in.
rant over.....

its very unlikley you will, they wouldnt even give me a £5 discount on s2 contract. more than likley if you where to get this then some how you must be going over mins on three are making there profit elsewhere or its not viable for the company.

good deal IF you can get it and thats a big if.

You can't keep discounts if you change tariff :(

I pay £3.35 pm for 75mins & 3600txts. My best option appears to be to add the internet max add on for an extra £5.11pm so I'll be paying:

£8.46pm for 75 mins, 3600txts & 2GB internet + free tethering also no additional contract length so I can always take up a new contract with phone elsewhere and either cancel three or revert to £3.35.
