Has any one ever used one of these..???

My aunt got one from one of the tele shopping promotions and said that it was rubbish as it would
break quite frequently.. she had hers replaced twice before giving up hope..

Is there a brand that is tried / tested & most importantly trust worthy..

Cheers.

nice tool. but think it is waste of money

Got one of these last year at about the same price. Works brilliantly, never broken. Saw it in a specialist cookery shop last week at over £20

I bought 2 of these from an Amazon seller and they were useless, I am left handed and my mother has weak wrists so I thought these would be ideal for the both of us.

If it is anything other than a standard sized tin or shape you have no chance and it is 50/50 wether it wil open a standard size tin, trying to safely remove the lid from the actual device once the tin was opened took so much time it negated the benefit of using it, they are just another gadget rotting in a drawer now.

May i suggest that you bought a fake?

Mine works perfectly every time!

No problems with mine...had it years...pick it up, pop it on...presss it and there you are...lidless.

Never had any bother with ours, except that it goes through batteries fairly quickly (but then, with rechargeable batteries I don't care much). Heat added.

Seems a good buy. Have voted Hot and placed an order via Nectar.

Its pretty much USELESS these days because most tins have ring pull openings.

Voted COLD

Voted COLD

Why Cold ???? - my wife has arthritis - Even ring pull cans can be difficult - Bought one of these last time they were on offer - Great product - Place it on tin, push button, lift 'it' and lid off together- Nothing could be easier

Actually, maybe I should vote cold as we now tend to buy our 'tinned' soup in pouches ......

Got my parents one of these last year as my dad had COPD so the manual can openers are just too hard work. I did buy them the rechargeable one and they have only once had a problem as it ran out of charge mid way thru a can but once recharged it was ok. Well worth the money, even thinking of buying one myself.

Got one from Amazon a while ago. Worked fine but it was a bit fragile. The button has a tiny spring under it and this kept popping out its fitting which stopped it working. One day it pinged out completely and I never found it again!

Fair enough if you are infirm - if not then you are just being lazy :D
