Nice one.
Although the setup fee is £9 so you do pay something.
Still looks a good deal with cashback though.

£9 +VAT setup fee.
#4
Yes sorry, didn't realise the setup fee. You still only end up paying 58p after cashback tho!

how do u work out its free.?!
#6
where does it say free? i can see 3 different payment per month amounts :?
#7
It's 58p after quidco!!
#8
so its not free? i dont have quidco
#9
Bit misleading they still charge you £9.00 setup fee.

"Above mentioned prices for domain names apply only when a web space is set up at the same time. Setup fee GBP 9.00. All prices are without VAT. 1 year free domain + hosting offer is only valid for companies and individuals in the UK. Money back guarantee, see "Before You buy".

Works out free if you get the quidco.
#10
Er....yea it is. The setup fee is £9. You're still not paying anything for the hosting or the domain name. Think about how much these would be from other websites per month.
Besides, just register for quidco if you want it, thats free!!
banned#11
It is only 58p if quidco tracks OK and it is paid. Now it has been advertised on here, they might pull out of quidco (like Abel and Cole have just done, leaving lots of untracked/unpaid amounts).

Are you from America by any chance?
#15
If you are after web hosting this is a good deal, and there are plenty of choices available. If yours doesn't come up free, then you need to add something to make it more individual, eg, jones.co.uk will not be free, but nicholsg was free for me.

Vialli25 - if you change the title to include the setup fee, it might not go so cold.
#16
I think wat every1 is trying to say, is that you have mislead everyone by saying it is free!! Quidco is not 100% accurate and as such you should have mentioned this in your title, or edited the title once you found the £9 fee.

Its a decent deal, but I guess everyone is not happy at the way its been put forward!!

cheers

That's strange, you're prices are coming up in dollars so it obviously thinks you're from America which is why it's not giving you the deal.

I have a *** domain only *** with Lycos - Can someone tell me whether I can move it to this company and how to do it please. thanks
#21
£10 for the year after quidco, no?
why not sign up at $20/year at netfirms.com/max and get an extra free domain, and no worry about quidco not tracking.
#22
No. £10 for the year before quidco. 58p when quidco tracks.
#23
How good are they for hosting? What's their customer service like?
#24
just purchased, quidco tracked already at £10. for 58p voted hot!

Anybody?
#26
I have been with these for 2 months and I'm VERY impressed, awesome customer service, no need to call them up, just chat through a chat window (typing). And I've not experienced any downtime, theres a huge list of domains to choose from, .com,.co.uk etc and the upload and download speed is fast! For 58p, its one cracking deal :D. Voted hot.

On the front page they say that a transfer of a domain is also free with this deal. You might want to check it out.

cant understand why so many cold votes

That's because title should say: £10.58 with possible 58p through Quidco. Not everyone wants their purchases to be tracked by Quidco or anyone else for that matter.

Damn i registered www.sonyps3.co.uk this morning but got no hosting with it
#31
I've been with these guys for about six months now and the service is great. I've tried other budget hosts and they've been rubbish for downtime and missing email forwarding etc.

Recommended.

It appears most people are voting cold due to the inaccurate post. However, even without the quidco, there is no company out there I know of who even touches one.com on price given like for like package benefits.

I changed to one.com just a month ago having been with another company. Their (database) servers are a bit slower, but definitely good enough even for a small to medium sized business web site, and that as far as I can see is their only downside. Their live chat support is brilliant with operators being very knowledgeable. I was weary of using them to start with because reviews I have seen said they used to be bad (lots of downtime, rubbish support, slow servers) and had only recently been improving. If my experiences with them so far are anything to go by, they are easily worth double their advertised prices.

Those who have voted cold: I doubt you can find a comparable service for a cheaper price.
#33
What the OP has done wrong here is not include the £9 setup fee. Thats missleading.

I failed to do so when I originally posted because I was unaware of it. However, within 30 minutes of posting I changed the title to what it is now, how is that misleading?
It clearly says how much it will cost you for the year without quidco (that includes the setup fee!!) and then how much it will cost you if you get cashback.

I think a lot of people are voting cold without really looking at the deal, they're just seeing the bad posts on the first page (because of my original mistake) and voting cold.
#34
Do they offer whois aliasing with the package or as an add-on?
And has any one transferred a domain from one.com? do they make it hard?
#35
Been with one.com for about 6 months now, cannot fault them one bit. The live chat help is very good- staff always been very helpful with any problems or questions I've had. A very good deal for the price. Voted hot

I signed up with netfirms (exactly one year ago) for $10 for the year. That came with 2 free .com domains as well and storage was 250GB. (ie £5)

Have netfirms changed their pricing? Their website shows $10 per month and not per year :(

I asked them about whois protection (using their live support) before I signed up. They don't offer it on .com addresses but offer it on .co.uk and others for free. Best asking them for specifics if you're interested. As for domain transfers, no experience here sorry.

Can't believe people are voting COLD for such an awesome deal! I was doing some research over Budget Hosting and this one turned out to be FREE almost.. !!

One Year Hosting + Domain (.com) = £10.58! Quidco already tracked for £10.. making it 0.58.. even if qudico doesn't track I don;t mind as its still a bargain for £10.58! You have to notice something,. you get £50 Google AdWords on top of this.. which makes this a hott deal..!!

Only con is you have to cancel your account 35 days before and if you want to move your domain elsewhere you loose your hosting.. so be prepared for it!

Cheers!
