Not for your serious audiophile but would make a great stocking filler for the kids to get them introduced to record collecting, apparently record sales are the best for 16 years(I should know its what I do for a living), crate digging and car boot rummaging is a great hobby to get them into imo, better than staring at a screen all day.
Style would certainly appeal to the younger audience.
They have this for sale on their site also at the same price I just figured eBay is a solid bet.
There is a couple of others on there but from what I can see they have to be powered via usb or ship from US/Hong Kong.

Funny my 17 year old asked for a turntable but I thought he was joking!
It plays vinyl and it's cheap. Straight to the top of the Hot Parade

Trust me its very popular at the moment especially amongst the young, I guess retro is cool and you don't get more retro than this.

10 years ago the only people buying it were djs, 30+ obsessed music collectors and old boys but all of a sudden there are a load of youngsters getting into it which can only be a good thing. My view is that there are 2 types of people that are into music. Those that just want to hear it and those that want to own it and you can't really own an mp3 or youtube video. Cds seem to be something only the older generations are still buying so its good thing. Also a lot of new music is coming out on a limited edition vinyl release, this is actually a real good investment depending on your taste. For example the Nirvana - Smells like teen spirit re issue they did a couple of years ago was a UK only release limited to 1000, they were sold for £5 and it was selling on eBay for £50-100 2 days after release.

Saying this its actually a very affordable hobby, lots of records can be bought for under a couple of pounds each especially if you do go hunting, of course it will cost more if you buy off dealers or shops.
