I'd buy this but there's no NFC, feels like I'd be going backwards from my note 3.

I don't understand the big thing about NFC, it's been out a few years now and no one used it then now everyone wants it !

Good phone, poor customer service. I ordered a screen protector and it arrived smashed, oneplus expect me to deal with the delivery company or they won't refund. 1 month later, I still haven't had a refund or replacement. Can't imagine them dealing with a major issue like a phone arriving damaged. Won't buy again
you wouldnt buy another phone from them because of a CS issue over a screen protector (which wasnt even their fault)?? Really?

If you order something and it's delivered damaged. You contact the sender and they deal with it. You shouldn't be asked to deal with it yourself (contacting the courier), that is stupid.

I guess people want it for Google pay? it certainly doesn't bother me, that's what contactless debit cards are for

There wasn't much advancement in tech during the initial days of NFC being out but now it's totally changed. You have google pay and payment services and other features making use of NFC out there.

I've been using NFC stickers for years, just takes a quick Google search and a bit of imagination. Just think it hasn't been picked up by the manufacturers as much. My Sony TV has an NFC feature to allow me to control the remote with my phone when they touch. Madness, as I will already have the remote in my hand. See, just requires imagination by the big corps

it's likely because you can now use it for contactless payment. many banking apps have an option to enable it. barclays and barclaycard being just one example

I had this phone and in my opinion it was great. Zero issues with the 810 and it's OS is one of the few that improves on stock android. For this price it is a good deal. Nice build quality too. Quite heavy though. I got a S7 Edge as was lured by features but all pointless Samsung rubbish ruined it for me. I've ended up going back to iPhone but on android now I'd only buy stock or a OnePlus or HTC (near stock now on 10)

Too much missing like NFC. Do they have an SD card slot yet ? 13mp camera with no extras isn't the best considering whats released now. I agree with a previous poster. Would seem like a backward step. I'll wait until the Sony Xperia XZ gets down around this price !
Til then I'll just persevere with my Z2

I gave my wife the Z2 when I got my s7 edge. I actually prefer the Sony and the Samsung doesn't feel any quicker.

Still rocking a OnePlus One here. Great phones if you get a working model. Not heard great things about OP's customer service, but Amazon should sort you out with any immediate returns.

A few teething troubles but regular updates have sorted all the issues. The software is as close to stock android as you can get so no bloatware. Battery life of 2 days easily achievable with a great camera. I've owned this phone for over a year and it still offers the best value so I won't be upgrading for some time. I paid £300 so £200 is a steal.

He said he's owned it for over a year! :p

As have I. Great phone but don't buy from OnePlus themselves. Had the fingerprint sensor die for 2 weeks then magically fix itself followed by a complete motherboard failure last month. Took 27 days from the day it happened until I got it back. That made me miss Apple slightly. I was worried they'd claim water damage like they have done with so many repairs, charging €220 or about €50 just to ship it back without repairing.

I got lucky though, I kept pestering them saying that I have taken pictures & videos of the liquid damage indicator before sending and of the phone's general condition and it went smoothly. The repair was done in Poland I think they recently changed their repair company recently hence the fussless repair. If anyone would like to know more about the repair process let me know.

That said, buying from Amazon would make it relatively risk-free for a year.

The phone just got a decent OTA update to a new version of Oxygen OS. The phone doesn't heat up at all anymore and I've noticed it now charges slightly faster. Nougat will be coming soon.

TL/DR; Great phone, buy from Amazon. £200 is good money for a still-competent phone.

regardless of who is responsible over the delivery, not buying a product because of their CS for which you have a very small chance of even needing is just daft.

It's not daft at all. You would be dealing with Amazon though for the first year so in this case it shouldn't be a big deal.

my point was a general one- not aimed at amazon/one plus. Buying from Amazon in this case does make sense because of their great returns policy. (And oneplus dont sell it now any way). I did this myself only a month ago when they were last in stock-but wouldnt have been put off buying directly from oneplus if they had them. Had the oneplus x with no issues, and no issues buying direct from them for that.

I don't understand the point you are trying to make and also why you are using two question marks at the end of a sentence. The point I was making that the specs do not make it old fashioned even a year on and it represents great value at £200.
