The is pathetic, Oil prices fell to $60 per barrel more than 50% and you are buying fuel at 10% discount....

You have to remember that the majority of the price charged at forecourts is taxes... taxes are unlikely to drop by 50% as well. An analyst on the radio earlier today suggested it would be nigh on impossible for the price of fuel to ever drop under a £1 a litre

See here for distribution of pricing...

Petrol to drop to £1.05 a litre, says Goldman Sachs:

I hope they are correct :)

It's because a majority of what you pay at the pump is fuel duty/tax. You're not just paying for the product.

Thanks, I didn't know that, is that a on-off or have they always done that? Tempted to get amex if I can get 10p off per litre all year.

Amex promo must be saved on the card (from Offers page) and runs until 31.01.15. The only other limitation is min £50 spend. You can use this as many times as you like.

Shame BP don't appear to price match others round here even though there's stations selling at £1.13.9 they are charging £1.18.9, robbing thieves! Wouldn't mind but there's at least 5/6 stations within a 3 mile radius so youd think they drop it a bit, but clearly not

The Ongar BP is currently down to 113.9 for petrol and 116.9 for diesel!

Tesco fighting back, diesel now 115.9, only 2p more per litre than the petrol
#11
Shell Abridge petrol now 111.9 diesel still 118.9 which seems a bit insane
