Good reviews for this cycle lock and is under the sold secure scheme. In my opinion, it's better than the kryptonite deal as the reviews mention that it is more secure and cannot be picked open by a ballpoint pen as some of the older kryptonite locks suffer from.

Magnum UL4 Shackle Lock 115 X 229 X 13mm With 120Cm Coil
Haven't looked at the Magnum, but I do own one of the Onguard Bulldog locks. Bought it for £18.99 delivered on Amazon, earlier this year.

Extremely well made, also I didn't like the included bike frame mount much.

If you do decide to buy the Bulldog, don't forget to fill in the 12 month free bike theft cover application form. Link to form.
Ordered yesterday to go with the new bike.

Are either of those "sold secure" and if so what level e.g. Bronze, Silver or Gold?
Still think this is better for a few quid more
The kryptonite is also silver as opposed to bronze secure.
From one of the review
This appears to be a good solid lock and cable. It will secure both wheels and the frame (just about) to railings etc. The 5 keys are a bonus too. The label on the box states it is sold secure bronze 2009 for bicycles. I am not sure if this is in the USA or UK but might help those questioning whether it is any use with regard to insurance policies. The only down side may be the attachment to the frame when not in use. It doesn't look the most sturdy as mentioned in other posts. Other than that it is great value for money!
Onguard Bulldog Shackle Lock
How do you get your bulldog to stick it's head in that? Sounds a bit cruel to me

Get a Kyrptonite New York, it is the best around.

I had £1k bike stolen after using a cheaper lock. So made sure I bought the one you mention, seems very tough and excellent reviews, its slightly smaller than other D locks, which means it can be a pita trying to lock the frame and rear wheel sometimes, although it is sold secure gold so receive a discount on my motorcycle premium. I picked it up with cable for around £90 from wiggle.

Sold secure silver.

I have one myself. Not sure about the Magnum though....which is why I plumped for the Onguard.
Price gone up to £23.40 :x
I'd like a secure cycle lock but why are these things so damn heavy! It's like cycling with a lead weight in your bag!
