Was going to get this but it only has 3 hdcp2.2 ports Denon 2300 as it has all of them enabled.

I've had a few onkyo devices in the past as they were a good price and spec..... Next time good judgement will pay a part. I won't buy Onkyo again.

Heat from me; decent brand gear and good customer service. Mine is a few years behind this model but still going strong.

Here's a picture of it

Denon AVRX-2300 at this price is the better amp. Good deal if you like Onkyo though.

Is still £399.99 though. Id pay the extra though for the ports being more advanced and audessey is better than Onkyo's mic setup!

That's what happens when you keep buying no name brands. Buy cheap buy twice.

I'd buy a reputable brand like a Sony

I had an Onkyo DAB Mini system. Every day at midnight it turns itself on and tries to set the time filling the room with a blue glow.
My Onkyo TX-NR 515 needed to be returned as the HDMI port self destructed as a known fault. The over the air firmware had to be turned off because it bricked the boxes. Even now Onkyo have stopped supporting it even though it's glitchy as hell. The screensaver kicks in for no reason, Sometimes the picture doesn't appear unless you pull the plug for 10 seconds.

Don't give me your ??? comments. I know Onkyo and I know I won't buy it again. Loved all my Denons, will not hesitate to buy them again.

I think it's pretty clear. They were a good price and a good spec. Doesn't mean the decision was good in the end.

The recall was here http://www.uk.onkyo.com/en/product-recall-80305.html the power turned off and on sometimes and the HDMI cut out, something to do with the HDMI board sharing components with the network card which has faulty components or something.

Also a poll showing its stellar performance: http://www.avsforum.com/forum/90-receivers-amps-processors/1415258-official-onkyo-tx-nr414-515-616-problems-thread.html

My onkyo has the HDMI problem. Takes about 5/10mins for the picture to show. Also the OSD has packed up. Will be going for a yamaha next i reckon.

I've googled this brand and it's not very well known. I would rather stick with something more mainstream tbh, you can get a better spec Sony from most retailers.

Our local Currys in Loughborough has better deals...

It's a very common problem, and the reason I would think buy Onkyo again. However, it's quite an easy and cheap fix. You need some capacitors (i paid about £1 for 10 on eBay) and a soldering iron and job done. I'm by no means an expert in electronics, and it's the first time I'd used a soldering iron and I managed it OK!

Although, nobody should really be expected to be undertaking the fixes when you are chucking 3 and 4 figure sums at these devices, and that's why I won't buy Onkyo again.

dont buy this av i had it for 4 days took it back. i used to be a huge onkyo fan. all ports are not hdmi 2.0. i had it connected to my echo and take ages to connect via Bluetooth. swapped to the denon 3300 the quality of the sound was so much better never looked back
