Heard about that great concept called 'European Union'?

I bought a Nintendo Wii from the german amazon site and it arrived the very next day - I believe it was shipped straight from the UK warehouse. No import duty etc to pay.

It may have changed since then, but I would go for this. It seems pretty hot to me?

The funny thing is, judging by the heat it really isn't a good deal.

Great piece of kit however!

Guess people afraid of buying from across the big water?

Funny, not long back the same receiver sold at £269 was getting over 200 degrees.... oh well

yup, I had no problem with it. The warranty is with Amazon. Fortunately I never had to use that, but my account page on the german (.DE) site links to my main account and has all the same links as the UK site.

some reviews out there questioning reliability . . .

any readers who have one, any good?

one other thing - if it became faulty, are you having to return the unit back to germany? and more importantly at your own cost?!

Its an unknown brand so you're bound to get problems. Stick to Sony.

;)

I bought one from Amazon Germany earlier this year for approx £230. It came next day as it was shipped from Amazon's warehouse in Milton Keynes. Unfortunately it was faulty, but they allowed me to send it back to them within the UK rather than to Germany. The return courier fee was refunded and they sent me a replacement.

Overall a good experience and not much different than ordering from the UK.

I'm getting an Amp for Chrimbo - How would you rate this Vs the Sony 810? Currently £249 Richer Sounds....

I'd rather spend an extra £20 and get a sony, not worth taking the risk with this unknown brand.

Who`s gonna be first in the counterwieght. ME !
Can`t believe people are still making reference to the stupid Onkyo brand joke.
Its sad, and annoying, and not funny, and feels like years, and ruins the deals, and ruins the site, and ruins my day, and ruins my life.

People trying humour is just so wrong on here. Stop it !

I'm between the Sony 810 and this myself... The Sony has more HDMI inputs and "looks" better imho.

Most of the reviews/expert opinions rate these as very similar, none has a specific edge over the other.

If you're reluctant to buy from Germany it might be worth contacting Amazon UK to see if they will match the price.....
#39
What would the exact purpose of this product be?
Is it just to connect speakers to, or is it used for much more?
