I used to love that shop and spent 000s there over the years but recently all of the decent deals are "instore exclusive" - generally meanng they don't exist bar the odd damaged/accessories missing item.

At the time of writing, the vast majority of our stores do have this item in stock, with hundreds more units available to order from our central warehouse. I therefore assume you either haven’t contacted us to check availability, or are a disaffected competitor!

Hold your horses there "Mr Richer Sounds" which bit of his statement was "unfair"? I've also had problems in the past with your "instore exclusive" deals.May I suggest instead of criticising your customers for being "unfair" you listen to them and try and improve your service.

Absolute nonsense Mr Clayton. I and many of my friends have been to your store only to be told that there is no stock of the good quality equipment that we have come for, just to have your sales people try to sell us crap which they say ' is just as good quality ' as what we wanted. I used to work in Leeds city centre and picked up an instore leaflet the day it came out as I was looking for an amp. I went every day and asked if stock had arrived and asked if one could be put aside. They said that one could not be put aside and on the 8th day of going in was informed that they had sold out of stock. When I asked when they had sold out the sales assistant looked a bit nervous and said he wasn't too sure :| This was not the 1st time this had happened to me either, and I no longer waste my time shopping at Richer Sounds. I have signed up to UKHD just to make this rant as Richer Sounds are notorious for having 'lealflets/instore only bargains' which have misled many people I know.

tbh Richer sounds have done that before, no stock but....
HOWEVER
They have always offered to order the product in, if it was not in stock on the day, and advise on best delivery if it was large. (i.e. Black taxi cabs over expensive other options)

Fair play Mr.Clayton for making time to come on this forum and offer some practical help to enable people to buy this deal instead of spouting the usual hollow management speak we so often hear from companies.

Bait and switch scams are supposedly illegal under the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008. Interestingly the first prosecution under it only came to fruition in 2011, showing how much use the law is. If you can prove a bait and switch scam talk to trading standards, but they're often unwilling to help unless there's loads of complaints.
Maybe because it is an in-store exclusive??
I've used Richer Sounds for 20 years or more, Stockport originally was my nearest, then Prestwich now Preston. I have had nothing but good advice and good service from them.
