Looks like a good deal to me

if the speakers are decent then yes it is! Richer sounds are good and have a no quibble money back guarantee so might be tempted to buy them, and see how they sound...

EDIT: Actually, just seen the reviews and it fails for on one thing i wanted... Analog to HDMI conversion!

Onkyo are a very well respected company in the AV market. Check out avforums for details and reviews.

Unless you really do want a Samsung all in one thing...

Walk away, you can buy a Goodman's for less than this unheard of brand....lol

LOL there is always somebody criticizing ONKYO out of sheer ignorance.
#10
you lot obviously don't know about the ongoing Onkyo joke.

(apart from WalterSmith)
#11
Yeah I was joking; suppose you had to be there on the first Onkyo thread to which LOUGHBOROUGH GAY passed the same type of comment.

I purchased an Onkyo AV Amplifier, the 1007 from Richer Sounds last week, and I'm over the moon with it, big step up from the Pioneer it replaces (big jump in price too!).

However, Richers do clearly state on their counter that they do have the no quibble returns policy but if you open it (and why would you want to return it without trying it!?) they are at liberty to charge a 15% restocking fee.

B*stards! I paid £410 for this package in Richer Sounds about 6 months ago, although they had run out of 507s so the manager sold me the 577 (£300 in Richer Sounds) for the same price of £250, and the speakers for £160 (with some half decent speaker cable chucked in). Excellent receiver and pretty good speakers (if you don't mind satellites) despite it being a no-name brand (_;)

I thought it was good value for money at £410, so snap this up at £250.
#19
i prefer speakers with a little bit ooomph. so the 1010i's are the smallest speakers i'd go for.
#20
I cant find the deal on the website, do you have a larger picture from the OP that I can take into store

Thanks

I need to know if this speaker system is good for my setup.
I have six hdmi xboxs. I would like feed audio from all xboxs into one speaker system.
Will this system be OK for me? If not, what do you guys recommend?
Problem is the xbox does not have audio out, therefore I need a type of cable that is hdmi on one side and on the other end splits to hdmi and audio.
#25
I still think Matsui is best!
#26
how do i check if my local has one in stock?

This amp is there budget amp and only has 3 hdmi in and a whole load of other inputs but the hdmi's cant pass there audio with signal so you will need audio from any hdmi device you plug in.What you need is component cables which have an optical output and plug in like the non hdmi 360s but still put out hi-def pictures but this amp would be no good and i doubt there would be any amp that will allow you to plug in 6 xboxs and why would you want 6 in the first place.

Is the no name brand sillyness still going on...
#29
I tried to get this very deal a little earlier.

No stock of the 507 in my local store, they said one in Bromley and one (I think) in Kingston.

Great if you can get it though
#30
Really not impressed with the Onkyo build quality after taking my player back to Richer Sounds 3 times - then eventually getting a refund.
#31
called up my local and was adviced none in stock, however the nice rs executive adviced to go for ONKYO HTS3305 which he said is a bargain for 299pounds. what do you guys think, have asked him to reserve it for me and said will collect it tomorrow. any replies by then is greatly appreciated. thanks.
#32
@Kratos
The 3305 is potentially my second choice, but I must admit, I am quite liking the look of this one

Is this system better than the avx-380 available at comet?

Yes, it's better. For detailed comparisons, try googling (_;)

Sorry I have to disagree, for the Amp anyway.

The AVX has 1.4a HDMI for 3D audio, the 307 only supports 1.3a. Look for yourself:

I'd got with the Comet offer.
