Does anyone know if these are unlocked?

I wouldn't touch Vodafone handsets if you paid me..

They welch out of warranty repairs to new handsets by reporting that the handset was water damaged and is not covered under warranty..Rip-off merchants!
Phone had never seen water let alone touched any!

if it's like the ones instore at supermarket (guessing it's packaged the same) they'll be locked but you can buy codes on ebay - these are rebranded alcatel handsets.

You can get unlock codes for 99p on eBay. Great little phones for the money. IMHO, the Alcatel ot-255 (virtually the same) is better - the menus are handier, the ringtone is louder and it comes ready unlocked. I saw it recently on one of CPW sites at £10.01 inc a £10 Talk sim - cashback on this, too. On the other hand, my mum loves the little straight-to-messaging button on the side of her 345 and the 255 doesn't have this feature. Horses for courses.

I used this guy 3 months ago when this was last posted.
Only £1.00 to unlock this phone and got the code in about 10 minutes.

Get your unlock code here.

PS. I got mine from Prepaymania for £9.98 using Quidco and got £5.00 back.
Don't know if it is still available though.

Got it from this link but it says expired now.

PPS. I've been on the Quidco site and it looks like you can still get £5.00 back.
