Since smart homes are all the rage now, this will be useful (cough cough) to a lot of people I am sure.

Warning: This will cause a lot of arguments with spouse

Yia OOS now, it came live at 12:00 am and went from in stock to delivery after few days to delivery after 7th January to OOS in 1 hour. This smart home stuff is becoming too popular. I know people who bought 10 (5 B22 & 5 E27) with different family member accounts.

That link isn't working. They did sell them off before Christmas for about £35 but all that stock has gone & are now £53.99

I purchased a gen 2 color 1000 bulb a while ago and when it worked it was great. Unfortunately it was way too unreliable and kept dropping off of the network - both the original bulb and the replacement that was sent did this. Judging by one of the reviews on Amazon it looks like this problem may still persist with the Gen 3. Shame really as it has good features and the app has things like disco mode built in. Unfortunately I gave up and went with Philips Hue which has been rock solid so far.

Was that the generation 3 or generation 2 model?

What's the power consumption of this vs the Philips Hue though? Given it has full wifi built in. No reviewers seem to mention that. Has anyone bothered to compare power consumption?
Increased brightness and disco mode seem cool though.
