Triple QX, fully synthetic, SN oil, GBP 12.49 (offer on this site too) for 5 liters including postage (rumoured by many to be made by Shell, but of course Shell will never confirm this (neither do they deny it))

Triple QX is made by Onix Oil.

How can anyone vote cold for this deal. 10 litres of great oil. Obviously they drive cheaper run of the mill cars
A rather silly remark. Do you run a Porsche, Bugatti, Ferrari or Rolls? If not, you've got a run of the mill car as well.
Brand oils are hyped by a lot of marketing twaddle, charging premium prices for an unproven 'premium' product. The big boys usually state they are 'better than the other leading brands', but when asked to send proof of such a claim you never hear from them again Leaving you just 'to believe it'.
Maybe a good price for Gulf, but still quite high for an engine oil (Be honest who NEEDS 507 oil, will your engine blow up/ get damaged if you put 505 in doing normal A to B driving? Plain overkill).
As long as engine oils meets the spec prescribed by the manufacturer and you change at the set intervals (mileage or time) EVERY brand will do.
Triple QX, fully synthetic, SN oil, GBP 12.49 (offer on this site too) for 5 liters including postage (rumoured by many to be made by Shell, but of course Shell will never confirm this (neither do they deny it)). For that money you can drop it after whatever mileage/time and put fresh oil in compared to none with the Gulf.
Actually yes I drive a Porsche 996 as a weekend car
But not everyone else does...

Ah well they should of done better at school or in life

Neither asda or wilko oil meet the spec of the gulf oil so not a valid comparison.

Very good, the postage is the reason I have always backed out of ordering from Opie Oils.

I would also have to agree, now at £1 p&p it would be rude not to order.

cheers, been waiting for a deal, just ordered several bits.
Very good company, have used them before and they know what they're talking about.

They usually offer some discount if you are in certain car clubs, but 25% is nothing to be sniffed at.

Heat added.
Seems to hate my iPhone, so will try on PC. Thanks!

BRIT OIL API: SL/CF ACEA: A3/B310w40 Semi Synthetic Engine Oil Diesel my car astra 06 1300.000 miles good oil i buy 20 lt than 6 monts change the oil tk
This deal is for TDI owners who need oils of cetrain specifications to be met. I used previously Edge, Magnatec SLX, Motul and Fuchs, and only the last 2 could be recommended. Keep in mind that Edge can cost around 40 quid for 4L which may not be enough, 1.9TDI takes 4.3L..

Red somewhere that Kerosene + Lucas upper cylinder lubricant works the treat... Brilliant combustion...

I read that this product is mainly Paraffin (Kerosene), so you are not far off the mark here.

Lots of Testimonials on various sites for it from 'newbies' !
I use this all the time in my car all the time! it gives about 4mpg gain, but mainly I use it because it makes the engine run smoother and cleaner! this is a great price too!I normally pay ‘£15 per bottle in halfords.
Hi have used this product for many years in my old snot box diesels and you can see a difference in the mpg almost straight away. It more than pays for itself.
neilcaldwell
Is this ok with a modern diesel with a pariculate filter? I didn't know but it seems the redex diesel treatment shouldn't be used with such.

It says its Euro IV emission compliant so yes it would seem it is ok.

Opie Oils have questionable marketing techniques in my opinion ... splurting across all Motor Forums about their 'Special Offers' - which, when you take time to look into, are nothing of the sort.

50% OFF an item which is 75% more expensive than you can buy anyway is no bargain to me.

That said, their delivery and back up is reputed to be very good. But, while my local Motor Factors offer the same products at a cheaper/equal price, I shall not put the delivery and back up to the test
these people always advertise discounts but their non discounted prices are inflated.

deal or no deal?..... no deal.
5litres of 5W 30 is about same price evrywhere else.
For motorbike oils this offer just brings them in line with specialist bike shop prices from what i can see.
Opie are great, especially for performance oils and they're always very helpful if you need any advice.

Hot from me.

why would anyone want to put in oil of this grade into their M5 !?!?!

it will be far too thick at operating temperatures and cause more problems than using the correctly specified bmw oil as specified !

This is a perfect example of why the voting system on this website is fatally flawed. People with clearly no idea of what they are talking about have been able to vote cold without having to leave in a comment and without finding the item any cheaper.
Couldn't agree more. I have a BMW M5 and an old Vauxhall Astra. £29.99 for 5 litres of 10W-60 is brilliant but would be a complete waste if I put it in the old Astra.

Spot on, hot price!
