is this just caffeine and creatine mixed together, caffeine content is quite low, the same as an average espresso.

Contains beta-alanine too but again quite low (1.5g) - 5g is the usual suggested doseage.

I tend to make my own, works out cheaper in the long term and can control the amounts. There is a little more effort involved than an all-in-one so I understand why some people would prefer this than to buying everything separately

They have Hyde on the same offer, that has 400mg caffeine per serving

I tried this once, I felt like I was off my nut... Then my legs started to itch like mad, people in the gym must have thought I had flees lol

What way do you make your own? It's all the other stuff in these pre workouts that worries me a little. The ingredients are rather scary.

Why should we buy if that's caffeine and creatine mixed? We can get them from our regular food items!
I think there must be something better inside :)

To get 5mg of creatine (the recommended amount for the average 'meat head') you would need to eat a very large amount of red meat, expensive and not ideal if your trying to limit the intake of fat.
To get a large enough amount of caffeine from regular food to make a training difference (and I presume you mean coffee) you could have a couple of strong esspresso's
