Hi i was just wondering if this was a good deal as i was considering purchasing this as apposed to the BenQ one posted yesterday. It also says it is capable of 480p but in the spec in says up to 1080i.

It's downscaled I think, the max res is 800x600 isn't it? Which isn't hd.

OP - " It also says it is capable of 480p but in the spec in says up to 1080i."

I believe that this is merely referring to the input signal which then effectively get downscaled to match the projector's true output ability.
#3
Oh okay, but would you recommend this projector for a first one as i have never bought one before.
#4
I'd go for a widescreen Optoma. I have an InFocus and it's using a bulb every 500 hours.
