I bought the same projector from Amazon which cost me £564.

I am so impressed I have decided to buy another from Amazon, this time via ASK, as the price is awesome (awaiting the ASK one to be delivered as ordered on Friday night and thinking of returning the Amazon one but waiting till I recieve the 2nd one - deal originally alerted to me via hotukdeals, many thanks).

I bought the projector for my son to play huge PS4 games on his nearly decorated bedroom wall, however I tried the setup in our family room and we have found it awesome watching 120inch diagonal 1080p crystal clear movies and games. It's like being at the movies, it 'really' is that good, heck even my wife agrees and that doesn't happen too often!

Anyhow, if there are any left think hard do I need one, cos the price is superb.

By the way I don't work for ASK or anything like that, this deal is just too good to miss, did I mention the 3D?, well that is fantastic too with the DPL glasses not too expensive either.

Deal is back on! Click the link!

Any one thinking of going for this deal remember you are buying a short throw projector which in my opinion is great as you don't need a large distance from wall to projector to get a huge image. I setup the projector on a coffee table with the projector around a 1.5m away from the wall, with the image measuring just over 120inches diagonally. By the way the sound from the 10 watt internal speaker is surprisingly good as well.

Let's not get carried away with the sound quality lol.

looks like they have all gone

Sound is 'okay' for use out of the box, i.e. no waiting around to use the equipment. I have since bought a Yamaha sound bar which is certainly better, nonethless appreciated the on board sound at Christmas whilst assessing which way to go sound wise. The key thing is the picture quality which I can confirm is very good even with projecting onto a magnolia painted wall. One last thing on the sound front is yes you can here the projector fan but again not too loud and certainly not too distracting. Hope these comnents help anybody thinking of buying, but of course these are just my opinion.

Got a hx180p (not full hd) and it's brilliant, paid 350 for it so this is a steal... If I hadn't just bought a new guitar I'd probably have got one of these!

Amazon do a price guarantee if it's within 7 days I think. Google it. Start an online chat and ask them.
I bought a stereo one for £600 and it dropped by £50 and they refunded me.
Amazon don't advertise they do this.

I think its not official policy.

However, the type of savvy consumer that phones to ask, would also realise they could return anything under the distance selling regulations and re-order it at the lower price. Amazon refund because it's much less hassle, saves on postage and doesn't leave them with an un-resellable open box item at the end of it.

I appreciate the projector has now gone out of stock with ASK, however worth keeping an eye open as I bought on Friday evening, with the item then going out of stock and hey presto Sunday morning 3 more showing in stock!

My order is also now showing as 'dispatched' with a TNT tracking code available, can't wait.

I have already purchased a 120 inch 'stretch' screen off Amazon which is going to be put up in our family room to facilitate 'movie' night, or I might just play a few PS4 games, decisions, decisions...
#12
cheers OP I have been looking at projectors for a while and finally decided to take the plunge, just need a 120 inch screen that can pull down over my bay window and sorted. Which screen did you go for?

Can't wait to start watching films on this, or a bit of PS4 FIFA with the lads.

DJNG22 - Hi, I went for this,

£149.98 PCW120AFF 120" fully-stretched HD Project Screen, Aluminium Frame with Black Velvet Wrapping, 3D movie compatible.

Not actually put it up yet and have a massive box lying on the carpet in our family room which is awaiting decorating and then projector screen up.

Interestingly, even though the room needs decorating the picture quality, including black levels, on a magnolia slightly chipped 'here & there' wall is really good, but obviously with a proper screen I am expecting it to be 'really' good!

By the way I purchased 4 of Sansonic 3D glasses which again are really good. I bought Jurassic Park 3D and it's nearly spectacular with bloody big dinosaurs popping out into your face!

Thank you, will take a look at the screen and glasses. I have 2 completely flat white walls in the lounge that I'll use for testing but sofa placement means that I'll need a screen really so it can pull down in front of the bay window.

now... just gotta break it to the wife that I've bought something else... ha ha

Good spot! For any still wanting this ASK have got some on eBay (bought one yesterday) says there are over ten left, a whole 95p more though...

Hessian - Full credit to yourself thank you. It was your original post that alerted me to the deal. I couldn't believe the price, especially after paying £564 from Amazon and after seeing first hand the performance I wanted one myself. £399 for a 120 inch Full HD 3D projector is better than paying the same price for a TV, which is exactly what I was going to do for our family room which is going to be redecorated but will now include a giant TV/movie screen - awesome for the price!
#18
Really want to get this already own an Optoma H180X thats in my bedroom looking for one in the lounge. Just a bit concerned with lack of lens shift as will be more difficult for position but for this price cant argue. Also are you more protected as a buyer through amazon marketplace or ebay via Paypal. Cheers

With the 4 x 3D glasses are they thesehere?

Do they just sync with the projector, no transmitter required to plug in the USB ports?
#24
3d glasses sync with the screen, i.e no transmitter required, although you can purchase RF glasses and a separate transmitter but not needed with the Sansonic glasses.

That's great, thank you. spotted an eBay seller doing 4 pairs of glasses for 59.99 delivered so gonna take a crack at those.

My projector arrived today so gonna boot it up later and have a look
#26
Mine arrived earlier today and exactly same as one from Amazon at Christmas. Tried it out to confirm okay and delighted, no issues, a real bargain! Hope you enjoy the 3D, bought Guardians of the Galaxy and it was excellent.
#27
Well up until an hour ago I didn't realise I needed one of these...
Can someone point me to some glasses please. Are the Sansonic four pack on Amazon a good option.
Thanks for posting this Op.

Hooked mine up to my Amazon TV and superb 105" full HD display on a flat white wall, even the wife was amazed.

The in-built speaker is surprisingly decent. Will hook it up to the soundbar and sub next time.

A great purchase.

I bought one of these from Richer Sounds for 549 Inc 5 yr warranty. Crystal clear picture. I use with chromecast and play 1080p and 3d files with allcast. Cannot fault it. I've bought active dlp glasses from a well known auction site. Paid £31 for 4. 3d is amazing. Don't see what improvement the stupidly expensive glasses could give. No need for emitter. Put glasses on. Press power button and change display settings on projector to 3d and you're good to go..
If anyone is on 2 minds. Do yourself a favour and buy.

awesome projector awesome price. built in sound is worse than built in car stereo of an 80ies Yugo and its fan is a bit noisy but for 3d blu rays it does with 144hz dlplink glasses really really nice (Sainsonic glasses on ebay) and i don't get a headache from the 3d such as in the cinema (and that with cheapo LG 3d blu ray player) . you can even watch 720p and upscaled dvds the pixelation is not bad as with dlp you dont really see the pixels. you might see the rainbow effect but as home cinema this is nice. in eco mode still can have a light on in other corner of room so it is quite bright. only thing is freeview sd looks not so good at 90"+. what i love most is the throw ratio so it can be like a meter away from the wall and you get a quite big image already so it suits small rooms nicely. would have bought the Philips Screeneo but that was £1500 so this Optoma is probably one of the best bang for pound. just wish i waiyed until now to save the £200 cause at less than £400 it is a steal
#32
Can't find this on ASK, on auction site or on Amazon at this price, so is this deal now dead? £400 is my limit and I won't be able to justify £550+ to the missus, so hoping this deal resurrects somewhere at some point soon.

I've decided on a short throw projector and I think this one is the shortest around that does 1080p. BenQ have one with a slightly longer throw, but I like the sound of this one, particularly as I may want to move it around, project onto different walls in the house, etc. I like the idea of the built in speaker too, as I am certainly no audiophile and will take convenience ahead of crystal clear sound. So long as I can hear the dialogue, I'm fine!

It's bounced in and out of stock with Ask at £399 a couple of times that I saw. I bought the last one they had on Tuesday having missed out last time. Probably worth a check every couple of days to see if it comes back. I couldn't match the price anywhere else.
#34
Back in stock now, sorely tempted but I think the short throw is a bit too much for me
#35
Yeah, noticed there were now a few available. It's a great discount I have to say. I thought I'd made my mind up re: short throw, but thinking I should probably do a bit more planning and give it a bit more thought before taking the plunge! My room is large, but has low ceilings, so ceiling mounting might not be a good option, so a short throw projector from a coffee table seemed like a good idea. Mind you, I have a 2 year old running round the place, so that's maybe not the best circumstances for a coffee table projector!
#36
so tempted !! damn u HUKD

My brother had a720p optoma projector. The fan kept kicking in every few seconds and was loud. Was annoying. Has anyone experienced the same issue with this?

If your house isn't too big then you want the one with the best throw distance. (Give bigger image over shorter distance). I have a few old projectors that can't reach 100" from 17ft away. A bit annoying that. My Panasonic ptae700 reaches just over 150" and I bought it over a Sony one just for that.

Anyone know what warranty you get with this from ask ...
Mate has one from richer sounds
With 5 year warranty , ( think 2 years for the bulb) but was £550 ...
Temped, as wanting to do a cinema room
