Personally don't think 92 is big enough. I compromised to use my wall so it doesn't get limited by the screen size. A little less quality but size matters more to me.

Anyone thinking about ceiling mounts, be careful when you buy them as some mounts wouldn't really fit all as they say. Make sure it does work with your model before purchasing to avoid disappointment as well as waste of time.

Sell the screen! Got to be worth it for the 5 yr warranty alone.

I would be inclined to disagree , if you`ve never done the projector thing before you`ll be blown away by a 92 inch screen .

If your unable to ceiling mount the projector, does it work just aswell if placed on a table?

yes it will , alot of people ceiling mount them so they are fixed in placed, that coupled with a screen in a fixed placed means you dont have to deal with zoom and positioning everytime you use it,

How can you disagree if someone has a bigger screen? My lounge is 18ft long and I have a 150" image on my wall, buying a screen for that was very expensive for a decent one, just had a fiddle with the colour correction and all is good. Brilliant for my xbone gaming too :)

Any proper reviews anywhere

I did not disagree with a bigger screen , more of the your dismissal of a 92 size , which for most if they are coming up from a 50 or 42 would blow them away .

But yes you are also correct 150 would be far better .

It used the 3D DLP technology. If you are asking this for 3D glasses, they are called 3D DLP glasses, they are active 3D glasses but with DLP link. Search it on ebay. There are few. Some are too expensive such as Optoma's own brand. Some are cheap but not sure if they are good enough. I went for the sainsonic ones.

I just want to know why are they cheaper or equally priced in comparison to HD131XE if they are supposed to be the latest ones and HD131Xe is already discontinued???

I presume these to be better than their predecessors and therefore more expensive

Great deal, but check the Costco deal I posted yesterday at £529.99 including 92" screen and 5 year warranty. I currently have the hd131 which is fantastic.

most things appear to be the same or there abouts apart from, there are less connections and they are on the side rather than the back .

There are few changes such as the Brightness is increased from 2500 ANSI Lumens to 3000 and contrast is increased from 18000 to 23000.

Also looks like there is a better lamp life.

So taking all these things into consideration, it should be more expensive. Not that I am complaining, but just want to know if there are any drawbacks for which the price has been compromised.

Otherwise it is a no-brainer!!!!

the HD131Xe was plagued with optic focusing problems. i had 2 units (each got sent back for a refund, one was repaired by optoma and still found faulty) so i was wondering whether there is a good technical reviews of this product yet?

i assume its just a refresh of the HD131Xe. i like the fact that the connections are on the side, so you can push the projector far back to the wall (if ceiling mounted) to get the maximum throw distance possible.

anyone own one of these? how is the corner to corner focusing? (very obvious if connected to PC desktop)
