Optoma HD65 projector with free pull down 84" Screen (16:9 from the pic)

It says 5000:1 Contrast ration on the Littlewoods site, but it actually has 4000:1

DLP Technology - For superior quality
High Definition - 720p HD Ready
4000:1 Contrast Ratio - True, vivid colours
1600 Ansi Lumens - Brightness
HDMI Input

Use a 10% voucher (and the VAT savings) to make it £510, Qudico 8% (exc VAT) = £35

My QuidCO has just tracked at £39.91

I thought that might be why too, but there's no doublestacking, it's just one voucher and it works! Mine went through as £510

Never mind the votes, its a great p.j for the money and will project far wider than the 84" screen. Youll love it!

I would rather go for the Optoma HD700x 1300 ANSI 720P DLP Projector with FREE Optoma Panoview 92'' Home Cinema Projector Screen (Matte White) for £499 from Play.com, you can also get further money off using the RAC 5% off voucher code method and by going through Quidco.

Also a comment from somone on YouTube who also has the HD700x recomends it over the HD65.

At last, a reasonable response! The HD700 is the model lower then the HD65, it only has 3001:1 contrast ratio and 1300 Lumens, compared to 4000:1 and 1600 lumens. The HD65 is the better model and has better reviews most places. The 92" screen is obviously a bit better, but i can't actually fit it into my room, ha, the 84 has about 3 cm of space between 2 radiator pipes.

The price is basically the same with QuidCo taken into account. Play sell the HD65 for £510 without a screen..and it has 5/5 ratings..

Best thing I ever did getting a 84" projector and screen for the bedroom:whistling: (Projector in cupboard above bed, pull down screen in front of wardrobe on oppo wall)

Wire in a Sky+ and DVD/games console and you're rocking:w00t:

This looks a great deal, very capable projector and a screen that would put you back £80 odd alone.

Get one, you won't regret it:thumbsup:

Its a shame Littlewoodsdirect aren't doing it any more. It was around £400 earlier this year using codes. This is probably the best price around at the min if you want the screen too.

A nice video of the HD65 in action in HD on YouTube if you can put up with the annoying voice, lol.

If you want the HD65 without the screen then it is £456 @ Dixons, sure there are some vouchers about to bring that price down a little more.

Special sale discount. 2.5% off your order. -£11.41 takes price down to £444.93 delivered. (Code = SALE25)

I have this projector onto the Panoview 84" screen. Excellent stuff

I have this exact projector, with the 84" screen and it is fantastic.

I moved out of my parents and decided I wanted something a little bigger, and thought what larger than a projector. I looked around on the internet and found this projector to be the best for it's price.

I recommend it to anyone, the price is good, and the quality is great. I'm pleased with it, will be playing my xbox 360 on it eventually :)

What I’m really looking for is the Optoma HD81-LV or the HD80-LV at a really good price; if someone can point me to one of those at a really good price i will be eternally grateful.

If someone can try and discourage me from buying one of those and getting one of the cheaper ones I will also be very happy as I’m not entirely sure what i want apart from a full HD DPL projector, with or without (but preferably with the video processor.)
i intend to use it in my bedroom where most light can be blocked out.

Thanks a lot

I have ordered mine 3days ago and tried my luck with a litllewoods voucher code. The price was £577 using the code at checkout came down to £453 which includes the 82" screen and inclusive of delivery.

I wait in high anticipation for delivery on Tues 20/1/2009, but am cautious and some reports state that littlewoods come running after you a few months later for the money reduced by the voucher code :?, although many do not have any problems in getting them to honour the voucher codes they have used for various items they have brought. :)

Has anyone successfully got delivery from littlewoods of this projector?

Have a look over at AVForums as there are loads of people who have ordered this from Littlewoods, as a bonus it seems like they have been shipping 92" screens instead of 84".

It also seems like this could of been picked up @ Dixons @ Christmas for £371, back up to £475 now.

Thanks for reply, seems the projector prices are fluctuating up and down like a yo yo, so the best advice is to hunt around, a little patience and then go for it when price looks good. You got me all excited if screen is 92",

I wait in eagerness, like all for a bargain 1080p projector at a hot price below £1000 level. I think by the time the pj lamp has blown after 3 years normal use 1080p projectors will be available for £500 pounds.
