From Wednesday 18th Feb 50% off.

Just spoke with the guy at my local SuperDrug and he informs me the sale will start next Wednesday. All Oral-B are in the sale except the 9900 as he says they do not stock it, strange and this may not be true of all stores. The 9500 {about £107 usually} and 9900 {about £137 usually} are the same brush but the 9900 comes with the SmartGuide display... good for childrens enthusiasm.

The more expensive units are a little short on stock so I guess it will be a first come first serve. Lucky you and me as I have reserved mine!

That will do fine:thumbsup:

Though they are not marked up, I went to Superdrug earlier this week and aske about Oral-B prices and they were almost all priced at 50% or more off, and I got a good one for less than half price. You may find that you can get these prices now if you are lucky.

Well I'm confused!

I thought the same as you as I went yesterday to my closest branch and they were indeed marked down.. Possibly 50% I didn’t check as they only had up to the 8000 and I wanted the higher oscillation brush head. The manageress gave me the number for 2 bigger stores and when I called them this morning I was told the sale was from next Wednesday.
Perhaps the stores are autonomous with respect to sale promotions?
I'm happy anyway.

Sorry I wasn’t attempting to waste anyone’s time...

Out of interest - where is the best place to buy the replacement heads at a sensible price?

Not 100% sure but I think again it may be SuperDrug or Amazon but I'll have a look later and post on this thread. I have a Braun Oral-B 3D Excel which was top of the range when I bought it from Boots about ten years ago. I think it cost just under £70 then and it has proven to have been fantastic value. The batteries are now dying and I was not able to open it to replace them, otherwise I wouldn’t be spending £53 now.
The heads for that I always got from Tesco or Boots and never really look at the price but will be looking now!

There you go Mas99: Amazon! Thank you Damnome -

They are £7 upwards for 2, free postage over £5

Opps... Didn’t read the advert properly. For free Amazon postage they are £8.49. The £6.99 price is an Amazon advertiser and there is a £2.99 postage charge on top.

Sorry, £8.49's a good enough price though I'd still check in SuperDrug as I am now a fan.

How did you reserve one?

When I spoke to the guy he said he only had one in stock so I just asked if he would hold it for me, he said he would put it in the office and took my name and number. I did offer to pay but he insisted it wasn’t necessary. I even called back 10 minutes later and was going to offer to collect it today but realised that wouldn’t work and hung-up. He called me back having missed the call to check what I was after.
I think this is fantastic service and although I have never bought from them before (always thought the store a bit tacky compared to Boots) I will most certainly be giving them custom in the future.
Lets hope I still get my 9500 on Wednesday!

Just bought an 8000 at half price (saw no reason to go for the higher models, as all the speed ratings were the same and I couldn't care less about extra settings and indicators for double the price). Thanks for posting the deal Diagnostic!
Shame I missed out on the Amazon deal for brusheads.

Well I got mine on Thursday evening and had to leave it on charge for 12 hours so I have now only used it twice. Bearing in mind I already used what was the top of the range 8 years ago {Oral-B 3D Excel} I am amazed just how good my teeth feel.

Well pleased! Just hope it lasts the 8 years my Excel did. Now I need a good source for replacment brushes!

I hadn't considered the 8000 as I originly wanted the Triumph 9900, perhaps I should have looked at the 8000. Think I may have preffered the 9500 Triumph on brush shape/size looks and name. :-D

Anyone want to buy a nearly new Excell, light use - just out of nursery...

I just got the 8500 for £33.82 delivered by using the 10% off code as well. Hopefully another 9% quidco will track too.

HOT deal as this is currently at £68.50 at Amazon and £68.49 at Argos

I just went to http://www.superdrug.com/invt/125563&bklist= and then used the 10% voucher available here. Don't forget to go through quidco though!

I did consider posting it as a new deal but, to be honest, I couldn't be bothered being flamed to hell and back by all the wannabe mods that would have said that I shouldn't have.

It's a real shame, but they are wrecking this site these days.

How sad am I; I have no idea what quidco is or how to use it... Wannabe mods sounds cool but from the tone of your posting I assume the opposite to be true?

Sheltered life... :roll::roll:
