Agreed... amazing price if you can find one. I checked my local (Norwich South)... none there although I'm not sure they usually sell this model in that store, since there was no gap or shelf edge label. Other similar models such as the 8000 were not reduced in that particular store however, only the cheaper models were reduced.

Owned this 18 months and cannot fault it, other than below, which is unrelated to how well it seems to work,

Its the delux or DLX version of this, which comes with some other heads and a travel case, which was a couple of quid more, but as the included heads were worth over a tenner, then it seemed a good bet.

It has a larger battery than the standard Oral-Bs and so lasts longer on each charge, and fewer charges mean a longer lifespan.

Its a really good brush and seemed better than the previous Oral-Bs I had with only two problems.

1. There is no way of telling how much charge is left in the battery - it goes from working normally to stopped in under a minute - so you are not offered much warning.

2. When it is charging it has a blue LED which flashes, until remaining on constantly when charged. If you are travelling and need to charge in a room you are sleeping in - the LED is bright enough to make the entire room flash, and charging takes a full night from empty.

Lastly - not really a problem - but a peculiarity.

Once discharged - it makes strange noises!

Totally agree with everything you just wrote.

Utter bargain - I bought the 8000 version for £24 from Costco which was significantly cheaper than anywhere else that had it in stock.

Really does make your teeth feel different!!

This is an amazing price.

£35 does seem the cheapest standard price about.

What is 'like this' exactly.
You need top be specific as there are dozens of different models that look similar
The 8500 is one model down from the top model - the diamond

I don't actually believe you for an 8500 for £14.95

Must be store specific, not in 2 local stores i checked.
