MarcStam - welcome to Hot UK Deals!

It may be worth totalling the minimum commitment of this contract, as some recent deal postings have allowed people to buy a contract, just to get a cheaper phone than sim free etc. Plus, it allows people to work out what they are letting themselves in for, financially.

There is also cashback available from certain sites, as long as users don't click through to the networks site first, as this leaves cookies. See links to cashback - £80 potentially on this phone and Orange.

There's some information here on how to post a photo onto your deal, so that the post reflects what's on offer - http://www.hotukdeals.com/feedback/how-to-post-and-host-images-for-thr/327598

Otherwise, generally well done and congratulations on your first post!

Total cost, quick fag packet calculation is 18 x 25 = £450

There is £80 potential cashback from Quidco for this if available directly from Orange, but this deal is posted as via Phones4U

If anyone finds if via Orange direct, here are the links- http://www.quidco.com/mobiles/orange/
Similarly, £80 from Topcashback - http://www.topcashback.co.uk/orange/

Edited - had overlooked that this is via Phones4U, and wasn't direct from the network.

snap ;) and hi

Though, if the cashback does get paid - and that's a big If, then it would £370

good price

schizoboy - thanks for adding the update - I'd overlooked the fact this is from phones 4u, and had searched under orange, thus had added some misleading info.

If it's available from Orange with same stuff, then it's likely to be better to go direct, due to higher cashback.

Uncanny! I got this deal earlier today over the phone. I phoned up mainly to ask about stock levels, and to ask if it was unbranded or not. At the time I was on the phone the stock went down from 3 to 1 to none, as it's a live system they use. Fortunately 1 came back into the system and I claimed it. I told him about quidco, and he said if you get it online then we might not have stock for a few days yet, but he had me one there ready and waiting on the system. So I said if you can match the Quidco (£35) then I'd do it there and then. Without further ado he said the only way he could do it would be to give me an automatic £30 cheque-back after 28 days. So I snapped his hand off.

Should be getting delivery Thursday - i'm so excited i'm like a schoolkid!! As for being unbranded he said sometimes they are, sometimes they aren't. Unfortunately because it's being sent 'apparently' from Orange direct then i'm guessing it will be branded :-(

Anyway, for what it's worth, this deal has already been posted here>http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/free-htc-desire-25pm-18-months-300m/721610/#post9171421 but i've still voted hot regardless.

It's also only 100mins, no data, so not really a comparison. This is the best deal I've seen on an 18 month desire, with this level of minutes, internet and unlimited texts

I got on phone to ask them if I could cancel today as there was no doubt in my mind that they were going to send out a branded handset. Instead she convinced me by saying that she'd give me another £30 chequeback, making it £60 now! So now taking that into consideration my contract is now equivalent of £21.67 p/m which makes knowing that it's Orange branded more bearable.

What are the biggest problems of the handset being Orange branded anyway? I did ask her if debranding the phone myself would make the warranty null and void, and she said she didn't think so. But I still think it would.

Just noticed this is now -7? Why? This is a very good deal. Or is it simply because the deal has been posted previously?

the orange branding slows your phone down and eats up memory
