Was after a simfree or fixed length contract, and gave Orange a call, and got offered this:

1) £10 a month on a 18 month contract (can change after 15 months)
2) 400 Anytime Any Network Minutes
3) Unlimited Landline Calls
4) 800 TXTS
5) 500MB Data
6) Free phone, chose the Nokia 6303

Not bad for a tenner a month me thinks, its classed as the websaver 25, but I couldn't find it online, so worth giving them a call 0800 079 2000

ahhhhhhhhh finally a market reaction to O2 Simplicity 10 but more voice based than text based and more importantly with a phone worth £70 on a contract where £180 is paid.... but no QuidCo, for a heavy talker who calls landlines and wants some data this is great.

Personally I'd sell the 6303 and put some cash towards a cheap hero/android phone instead.

#6
I got the same deal when I rang to cancel my £35 p/m contract. Immediately sold the Nokia 6303.
#7

Just called up and was told that there was no way this could be offered to me as a new contract, and if someone was offered it chances are the person who offered it as a new contract as opposed to a renewal would be in some kinda trouble.

Online you get 200 mins, 300 texts, unlimited landline for £20. Can't see Orange halving the price, more than doubling the texts and minutes AND throwing in the internet on top. :w00t:

Just wondering, could you put the sim in an iphone/ pocket pc and browse the net? In the past i had issues with 02 where i had sim with internet on that wouldn't work on a pocket pc.

This sounds too good to be true.
Is there any proof please?

Just to answer a few of the posts:

a) No it wasn't a renewal. Like someone said, they know o2 are welcoming their customers with open arms at the moment.

b) I was very tempted by the o2 deal the other week, but thougt i'd hold off and see if could get better. Naturally quidco etc would be great, but what i was offered seemed a better deal, even though its 18 month. + if the free phone is not needed, you can assume thats your quidco bonus

c) The only two phones i was offered, was a nokia 2730 and a sony ericsson (can't remember model)

d) I waited till my contract was all setup before posting, and simply thought i'd give a heads up to the people on here as in my opinion it seemed like a good deal compared to whats available at the mo.

Great deal!

what o2 deal?

Would be perfect for me as I've just got my PAC off 3 today.
Does look too good to be true though, but might give them a call monday evening.
Really just looking for a cheap deal (£15 or less) with data.

You mention nokia 2730. Is that the phone you got of the two offered or did you actually manage to get the 6303? Thanks

I think you have got yourself a briliant deal. Will try orange in the morning as this is just the type of contract I was looking for (although I was thinking id be paying around £20) but if I get it for £10 a month like yourself then double thumbs up to you

EDIT: Expired?

HOT...
I am a little concerned of any trade bounded with contract in any form....But this free call service is nice for me...
#25
This is NOT a standard offer from Orange. The only way to get this sort of deal is if you are a pay as you go customer upgrading to contract and you have a lot of 'loyalty' points, or if you are an existing customer looking to leave Orange. If you ring the sales line you will be wasting your time and ours asking for this deal.
#26
I just called, this offer does not exist to new customers it seems, she said it might be available on a 36month contract, which was silly.

It's a shame Orange pale in comparison to that O2 offer.
#27
Orange do some very cheap tariffs but they are on 36 month contracts (as indicated above) so the OP has done very well to get something like this on an 18 month contract.
#28
I just phoned they offered me 24 months contract 800 mins 300 txt and unlimited internet with a LG POP,
for 17.50 a month and i have to pay £25 for the phone.
#29
Very good deal if you can get it has a new customer.
Has anyone apart from OP got this as a new customer?

me too - I'm with 3 but contract finished a month or so ago - still paying them every month as I can't find a phone thats a lot better than my N95 for a reasonable contract price.

Just called as a PAYG customer, but the lady confirmed that its only for customers with enough loyalty points and not for new customers or recent PAYG customers,

So basically this is retention deals for Orange customers only, I wonder what department it was.

What was o2 deal any way...
Looking for upgrade on my T mobile £35pm

So why is this expired, it was only posted yesterday?

Does anyone vet the MODS on here these days? Noticed lots of deals getting expired by trigger happy mods without any basis.
#35
hot , shame i have got my contract only
#36
just called to get this offer and was told that it was retentions deal and not a new connection??

I was on the phone to orange last night.

I have an orange contract so I was phoning tocancel or get a renewal.

I got 400 mins, unlimited texts, unlimited internet and new handset for £17.50 per month. not great but thought i'd let folk on this thread know. I also got a new handset - don't know the model but it's a kind cheap or middle-of-the-road touchscreen handset.

I also added on about 5 picture messages per month for another £1 per month.

so £18.50 altogether. my previous contract was about £35 per months so relateive to that I am pleased i phoned.

(24 month contarct though )

Have i been done?

Maybe because the deal is not available to anyone but you?

Until OP Title is properly amended so that it's accurate, Expired remains perfectly valid imo
