Orange are selling the iPhone 3GS 32GB model for the same price as the 16GB model for this weekend only. It is only in retail stores for this weekend only and they are offering half price accessories iPhone. It is an 'under the counter' offer so they may not offer it by default but if you push it there's no reason why they shouldn't give it to you. This offer expires at close of business bank holiday monday.

I know a lot of people on here dislike 24 month contracts but none of the networks budge on iPhone so this is a great opportunity!

or you can wait a few weeks and pay the same price but for the new iphone instead.
#2
Cold. Wait for the new iPhone that will be announced next week

As the others have said, you'd be crazy to get the old 3GS on a contract when the new one is out so soon.
#4
well actually that smart arse comment won't really apply. Knowing apple they'll increase the price or be as rigid with it as they have been with the 3G and 3GS over the last couple of years. Furthermore show me anywhere where you can get a brand new 32GB 3GS free on a £45 a month plan? not possible!

or you can pay £89 on a £35 plan and still get a 32GB version.

I very much doubt the iphone 4G will have the same price structure as the current plans!
#5
as above. VERY likely new model will be announced on the 7th June :) Worth a short wait to see what effect this has on price at the very least. I can't see anyone loosing out by waiting.

Pricing won't change IMO

New Iphone due soon but i would much rather get the better HTC Desire and a much better contract to boot.
#8
i agree with you 'the mole' with regards to the HTC desire being better but as it is can you find a cheaper deal for a 32GB 3GS? the cold votes are based on a product that has not even been released!!! that makes no sense!

I got a Desire last week , bought it outright for £285 and am on a 12 month contract 300 min , unlimited Txts and internet for £10.50 a month !!! The Iphone owning crew in my work are so green !!! Some of them are paying £35 over 24 months = £840 .

I have the HTC Legend and IMO it's the equal of an iPhone. I've certainly not seen anything the iPhone can do that mine can't. Plus mines a better phone and camera. So hunting out a cracking deal on a desire is much better than this deal.

Not if you want an iPhone it isn't. Specs ain't everything, user experience is what counts IMO. While android is better than it has been in the past, I personally don't think it can touch the apple OS.

:woot: LMAO

Gartner’s latest estimate suggests that less than 100,000 units have been sold ever since the N900 launched; five months ago. This when compared with 8.75 million iPhones sold from January to March and the 135,000 Nexus One sold in 74 days is very clearly a miss for Nokia.

Apple have stated the price is actually going DOWN on the new model not UP! Don't buy the 3GS because it's gone down a few quid, wait a few days and get the new one.

I wouldn't have a nokia even if nokia paid me to take it! They're well behind technology wise and can't stand to see apple whupping their backsides which is why they keep taking them to court over 'copyright' :p

Those figures are wrong. Replace months with weeks, and replace under 100,000 with over 100,000. I think they have been selling as fast as Nokia can make them, they are still difficult to get hold of, and impossible in some places. Love mine though, and wouldn't switch to an iPhone. The web browsing experience is so much smoother than my iPod touch, even over 3g.

I'm pretty sure that it's intended to be more of a concept device to drive the development of Maemo/Meego than a mass market phone.

I know Apple can't get their heads round file transfer by bluetooth but have HTC started putting this basic functionality in their phones yet?
#22
how have they stated that the price is going down if they officially haven't even announced the phone yet?!? talking rubbish mate!
#23
they have the technology, file transfer over bluetooth is very simple however they bar that functionality, same thing as not being apple to transfer songs from an iphone back to the computer (unless you get specialist software and even then you don't get all the metadata).

Yeah, I think the control freaks at apple can't stand the thought of anyone doing anything with iphones that doesn't involve going through itunes, but always wondered why HTC restricted their phones too.
