Appears to work for PAYG customers also.

Delivery fee of £3.99 for dongle.
#2
whats the data limit?
#3
Limit seems to 500Mb and 18month contract - I think if you go over the limit for a month you go onto the next tarrif - but I would check T&C.

yep and 18 months contract = £88 , limited time offer – free dongle and 500MB data bundle now included

Any out of bundle usage would cost 4.9p per MB on 30-day rolling contracts and 1.43p per MB on 18-month contracts.
Roaming: European Union countries cost £2.94 per MB while the Rest of the World costs £6.46 per MB.
* Free Dongle offer is subject to availability, normal price is £29 when ordered with the £10 IEW 18 month tariff. Offer ends August 31st 2009.

This deal or similar was posted a few days ago. Took it up myself and got £50 on quidco so very cheap in the end.
(Watch out for quidco as should be £60)

I averege 100Gb plus from my computer. However on the move from my netbook I am only browsing so will struggle to fill my quota on 500Mb. I went for this a couple of weeks ago and by the time I get quidco, it is going to average out at less then £2 a month. If I go over its only going to cost me another £1.43 per 100Mb. Really dont understand why this gets voted cold. :?

Yes, IMO - that's very good

With regards to the deal above... for such light users (500mb - think about updates not only browsing ;) ), I think is much safer to go for Vodafone PAYG.£15 per Gb but the credit does not expire.Secondly, I think the prices of mobile internet are to be lowered soon so 18month contract is not something necessarily attractive. Not bad deal I would not exagerrate.Voted hot anyway as It's relatively new deal and I don' vote cold :D

 Sorry you are right. My maths rubbish. This is very cheap then and surely good as a backup.

So are exsisting customers able to get the quidco?
#14
I emailed Quidco and they said that the cashback would not work for exsisting customers, was worth a try....
#15
works out at £1.56 with quidco. Iposted here last week with details:
http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/464945/orange-usb-broadband-500mb-month-4-

I have a PAYG phone with orange, was able to get this deal and quidco tracked at £50, filed a claim for the extra £10.

i wouldnt say so, i pay £15 per month for my 3 mobile broadband for 15gb per month, so £1 for 1gb and thats a fair price.
#17
may seem a daft question but could you use your N97 as a dongle so when you go away with netbook and phone it could be used as a modem/router to transfer data to the netbook??
#18
To the question by wolverine, yes u can use ur n97 as a modem via USB or Bluetooth, all u need is the nokia pc suite installed on your netbook.
#19
There is some data limit? Please inform.
Thank You

But that's almost twice as much to pay out each month. With these things being so slow i'd be surprised if you could hit 15GB :w00t:

£8 sounds like a good deal, 3GB is a good amount for any sensible browsing :-D

500MB I think I would constantly worry :?

the dongle is free, never said anything about free delivery.

A great deal after quidco if you will use it less than 500mb a month.
#26
Sorry to sound dopy, but roughly how much usage in hours would 500mb be? Trying to work out if it is worth getting to use down at our little shop?

If your downloading films,,, foget it each film is 700mb - 1GB

Music can be 3-5mb depending on length and format

If your just doing light browsing, emails etc then that should be perfectly fine

General web browsing, emails, reading sites like hukd etc

I would say about 10-20MB per hour, which would be about 25-50 hours a month. Or an hour to two hours a day.

If you turn pictures off then you could probably get it down to 2-3MB an hour for general surfing thus 10 hours a day!

If you intend to watch videos or download medium to large files then it probably isn’t suitable.

If you get quidco, for £1.50 a month it is great value.

Knowing Quidco there is a good chance that it will not work for new customers as well. Only do this deal if you are happy to pay the price excluding Quidco discount, and if by a miracle you get the cash back it’s a bonus.

Brilliant offer
#31
No Quidco and a measly 500mb data allowance, 500mb is nothing these days, a couple of hours on Youtube or BBC iPlayer alone will eat that up in no time at all.

Pay more, get more. This is perfect for people like me who will hardly ever use it and just want it "for the sake of it" lol :-D:w00t:

Where does it say on the Quidco page for Home/Mobile broadband this is for new customers only??

Seems woukd be hard for them to say this even though it is not printed anywhere.

Mine hasn't tracked from order yesterday morning, how long did others take to track?
#34
My Quidco has not tracked yet either..........
#35
Mine has, but only at £50.
#36
My quidco also didnt track... How long after did yours track?
#37
Hi
Regarding Quidco I tried the "Orange Home and Mobile broadband" link and couldn't get to the deal.

I thought I'd go for th deal anyway, as I have used my cousins 3 dongle in the past and did not come close to the limit (using primarily for browsing and emails, no downloads or streaming).

I tried the "Orange" only link, not expecting to see anything and it tracked for £60.

Payment for October 2009.......but we'll see!

Thought this may be worth sharing.
#38
I live out in the country can someone please tell me how you get a signal for the dongle?
#39
Topcashback are advertising this..

Orange Great Deal!

Orange are offering £60 cashback on mobile broadband, tariffs from £4.89 per month!

Sounds like cashback is available on this contract. It is a NEW contract so I can't see why it won't be available

Many people have their Quidco track so far?? Says £50 according to pop up when it was ordered but will give £60 when the cash arrives supposedly...
