These are the worse phones you could ever imagine, they are almost unusable, I literally offered mine free on freecycle and didnt get one taker it was boxed with screen protector on it never used apart from having a play on it,

however they are good for a trade in towards a new phone from cpw!!

Glad you got to this before me - i would of put it alot stonger (what a pile of pooh this phone is)

Good phone for emergencies and for newbies. You get what you pay for, can't complain about the phone at this price.
#6
I have to agree, I bought one of these for my kids and it is awful to use. So much so I went and bought something else. I too couldn't even give this away.

If Carlsberg made phones........

A good first phone to deter your children from using mobiles - especially when you add Orange customer services into the equation. You could possibly only make this phone/mobile company package worse by buying it on HP from an armed drugged money lending psychopath who charges four figure APRs.

No one has asked yet too...

Can it be unlocked?

The only useful purpose for this phone is in a will it blend? video

i dont see how people can complain , its a £5 phone yeah it may be aweful bet it wont be so bad in a real emergency and that was the only thing you could use to get help?
#14
There has got to be someone who will give this a good comment. I will give it heat cos its a fiver for a phone :-) xx
#15
Price wise this is a good deal but as per other users comments it is absolutely ****! ok if you want to make a call in an emergency but nothing else.

The nokia 2610 deal a while back which after quidco worked out at 9.99 with £10 credit was a good deal. use it as my 2nd phone (cheaper to contact people on o2)

Regards

I'll give this phone a good comment.
I bought one of these for my mother, who is as blind as a bat, and anything more complicated than a power button outsmarts her.
So for her, this is the perfect phone. She'll never send a text message, change ringtones etc.

So everyone who knocks it needs to realise that all phones are made to suit different people and different budgets.
If I gave her my iPhone, she'd probably say that was rubbish cause it's too complicated.

Rant over.

Great phone works very well at what it is designed for, that is, "making telephone calls" superior call clarity and long battery life and very cheap to buy but very well made.
#19
Rubbish phone but good price for a back-up phone, also if you go to the cinema a lot and havent got an orange mobile, then with the £5 credit, that is 14 orange wednesday tickets, or around £42 off the cinema.

Also, a little late now i guess, but perfect for 18-30 year olds going away with mates/ going to festivals etc, get credit, use it for the festival, if it gets messed up then bin it afterwards. Better than trashing a £200 phone.

I completely agree. I have one in my car glove box. It doesn't tell me the weather in Florida, take pictures, videos or play the latest song when it rings, however it does do a very good job of sending electronic signals via the mobile telephone network which reproduce voice accurately in real time. In my days, that's what a telephone was for.

Absolutely spot on muchus

I bought this for my gran as she can see the big buttons/screen and use the simple one-button speed dial (which a few other cheap phones didn't have), and it's fine for her. Of course it's not a great phone, that's why you can buy it for £5-10. If you want a cheap mobile for making calls, then this will do the job just fine. It's a ****** to try and text anyone with it though!

This is a terrible phone. When you try to type a number in, an italian guy tells you how to set your alarm. You can't buy this on the premise that it'll save you in an emergency, it won't. This phone may endager your life. Dont' buy it as your child's first phone either, you'll upset them and put them off technology for life. Don't run the risk, fork out a little but extra and you can get a very nice phone instead.

I've just ordered one, with the £5 of calls i will only use it to get the free wed cinema tickets.
so this is HOT for Me, Cheers
#25
Had one of these, dead easy to make calls. Texting was an afterthought feature im sure, apart from that, it was great. Battery lasted 2 weeks on standby, and build quality was high. For all you people who say its rubbish, why did you buy one in the first place..... Think of it as the BIC biro of the phone world. Perfectly disposable. Great for a night out or festival etc. unlike a disposable camera which takes naff photos, this is equally cheap and disposable but has good call quality. Great for those with bad sight too.
#26
this fone is horrible to use other than to phone someone lol
#27
Just my humble opinion but...

I bought this phone for someone who just wanted something to make a call and send a text without all the technical stuff and confusing menus, this looked ideal.

You can make a call with it, but phonebook access not as easy as you would think. The text feature is unusable with full screen letters meaning you have to scroll left and right just to see the last word you typed!
Really not very good at all even for someone looking for a very basic handset.
#28
Its funny how the story is exactly the same whenever a deal on this phone is posted - a few people compain at how rubbish the phone is and then a few other people say how it is perfectly fine as a basic or standby phone. Good deal if you ask me,
Dave.

yea, but the deal is still on. In fact, it has gotten even a tad cheaper.
I'm just thinking of getting it as a backup phone and I'm mainly just buying it for kicks really. 5 quid for a phone with 5 credit really is a bargain (if qudico tracks).

So, anyone know whether this is locked to orange?
