Internal mem is actually 60mb free.
Not a bad phone for its price, nice keyboard and UI but lacks 3g and you cannot update the browser to opera mini v5.0

Stonking deal. Effectively £20 for this phone - with largely good reviews and use the £10 top up for use with Orange 2 for 1 Wednesdays (or make calls!).

OMG - gutted. I just bought this phone 2 days ago direct from Orange for £29.99 plus £10 top up. I had looked around and it seemed a good offer. Great phone btw - my daughter loves it.

I went in to pick up my reserved one and they told me I had to buy a £10 top-up. I said it came with £10 included but they insisted I needed to buy an additional £10 on top of that. Maybe I will try again in light of 786simon's post.

Wouldn't bother. Went into Bootle branch. I tried telling them that. Had a long fruitless conversation with a supervisor. They cannot sell you a phone unless you buy the £10 top-up . More than their job's worth.

If you click on full product information it says "This handset must be purchased with £10 airtime, this will automatically be added to your transaction in store."

Yes - when you know the facts the wording is correct. The paper catalogue makes it clearer though. The thing is that I thought you were buying it with £10 airtime - it is just that the airtime was being given away free as part of their offer. The system isn't the best IMHO. They should add the £10 to your order if it is compulsory or make the price of the phone include the £10 to avoid any confusion.

Bought one last night and they only asked for £29.99. Seems like a good mobile for the price but still waiting for the £10 to be credited - I asked in store and was told this would happen automatically once the phone was activated, which I've done. I'm assuming Orange will do this rather than Argos. Has anyone had a different experience?

If unlocked will this accept a 3 sim

Make sure Argos do not con you into paying £10 for the top up, which is advertised as part of the special offer on their website. Orange add £10 for you as a new user based on the activation of the phone - takes a few hours to come through. Unless Argos actually give you a £10 top up card you are being robbed. The store I went to understood the offer, others might not. Be warned.

I'm struggling to get Tesco Internet working on this. Tesco weren't much use, they said a branded set wouldn't run, yet the K850i i had previously was on Orange firmware and worked on Tesco.

As long as they give you an extra top up card for the value of £10 that would be fine - you will also get a tenner on the phone from Orange a few hours after activation. If you've bought the phone, paid the extra ten pounds and didn't get an extra top up card then they are in breech of contract. The website clearly states a special offer of a free £10 top up. I think you've been unlucky with the store in question and it might be worth contacting customer services. It's a good mobile for £20. Looks like Argos are handling this inconsistently though. It would be good to hear if someone has paid £39.99 and has only the ten pound credit provided by Orange.

ive enquired at customer services and its a no go....you have to buy £10 top up as well so...£39.99.

Some people are just lucky on this at their individual store!

I got the phone this is how it works you get orange sim with it when you activate it orange will automatically credit £10 on phone, You will also have purchased £10 topup, The total topup is £20
i hope im making sence, GREAT DEAL

I collected this earlier today and so far am impressed - FAR better for texting than my previous phone and now I just need to find a case. My compulsory top-up came as a separate physical voucher so I can wait until next month to apply it to keep my 'Dolphin' free email/internet/texts running. When I called to activate the phone and move my number to the new sim, I did have to tell the person on the phone that I had a free £10 credit to be applied: once she had the IMEI number it was applied as soon as my old number was registered to the new phone (within 30 minutes, although they say it can take up to 24 hours).

How do you activate the phone, just switch it on? Or do i need to ring Orange?

Ive bought one now but had to buy £10 top up on top of free £10. Unsure how to get either on the phone?

You will have activated it already, just by inserting the sim - there should be a text from Orange telling you this. It took my free ten quid about 14 hours to come through. To check, dial 453 - the free credit doesn't appear as part of the top up but as an extra when you press the third option. You will get a text message from orange before that though telling you that you have ten pounds more credit.

A couple of things - you have to call 343 and choose your 'animal option' e.g. Dolphin for free texts and email for each month you top up with ten pounds or more.

Also, there is a plastic card with a 19 digit number in the box - not sure whether this has any bearing on your problem but I rang the number - think this was 450 - to register it. Hope that helps, Mike

picked up mine today. Keyboard a bit stiff and have to press it hard to register keys. Usual annoying Orange stuff which I desperately want to remove.

On good note, the touch screen is unbelievely responsive (especially for this price). The ph seems to start up very quickly. Made of good plastic.

I had to pay 10 pounds extra topup though as I thought it is worth for Orange Wednesday.
