The T&Cs appear to say you have to buy £60 top up when you purchase the phone to get the £10 each month.
#2
Looks like a grwat deal, there's also the Orange Lisbon phone for £61.28 here on the same offer.

Pretty sure you just pay for the phone and get £10/month credit free, otherwise it'd add £60 to the basket when you order the phone!

No this is a ready deal and the phone is topped up automatically at no extra cost for first 6 months. It's reduced to less than half price.

Can the top up be transfered to another number?

I spent a lot of time looking at phones for my daughter before Christmas, and I noticed that most of the handsets below £100 didn't have wi-fi, so the only way to access internet content was over the mobile network, which could end up costing loads depending on the tarrif/network. So I ended up buying a used HTC android handset off Ebay for £75 instead, which has wifi and can be set up to automatically connect to it when it's available, rather than gprs. It's not the latest and is pretty basic (only android 1.6), but she loves it and I think the wifi will save loads of money. The best deal I could find on a new android handset with wifi was the T Mobile Pulse, but we are all on Orange. Also AIRC none of the cheap Samsungs have 3.5mm headphone jacks, which stymies them a bit as mp3 players IMO.

:)

I got myself and my daughter genios last Christmas, her broke after a few weeks but mine is still going strong never had a problem with it. It is a bit finicky when you need to press buttons while making a call. Plus becareful when we first got it it racked up the pounds because we didnt realise the games cost as soon as you press them, there was no point when it said it would cost money.

This won't work on 3.

Phones will only work on 3 if they have 3G. You can find out if they have this feature by searching for the model number on http://www.gsmarena.com

If it were to have 3G, it would say so underneath '2G Network' near the top of the page. Some 3 SIMs have been known to work in 2G-only handsets, but it's quite rare and may not work for long. If you live in London, 3 network don't have a 2G signal there any more, so it definitely won't work. :)

The T+Cs of the Orange Ready Deal state that you have to purchase a £60 top up after which they will credit you with £10 a month for 6 months.

Orange now run a different promotion with a different name, and that is the newer deal (see the dates of the promotion). This promotion is like the one which used to be at AffordableMobiles.co.uk .

You get £10 per month, each month for 6 months - I think that you have to apply for each top up online at simregister.co.uk .

EDIT: I BELIEVE THIS IS THE 'ORANGE FULLY LOADED' DEAL WITH THE WRONG NAME. GIVE IT A GOOGLE!

Glad I seen this response (ie have to buy a £60 top up) - I have just reserved one in Doncaster I will not buy it now - this is not a good deal if you you only use the phone for txt.
#33
Are you sure you get free credit?
#34
Sorry, now I'm TOTALLY confused! With this deal do you get FREE £10 top-up for 6 months OR do you have to load up with £60 credit FIRST and THEN get an additional £10 per month for 6 months, added by Orange? :(

if you dont use the credit? will it stay the same after month?
#36
Yes I want to know that too. Has anyone bought one that knows if you have to buy £60 first to get the free credit, or even if you have to top up by £10 per month to get the credit. If so, changes appeal of the deal
#37
I have one reserved that I was going to pick up tomorow, but now completely confused. I don't use that much credit so if I have to top up £60 to get the £10 a month it's not worth it for me. Also does the £10 expire ever month or roll over?

Argos makes no reference to having to top up as I read it.

What you believe and what is correct may be different!
I'm not saying you are wrong we just require clarification from anyone who has got the phone already.
The Terms and Conditions for the "Ready Bundle" on the Orange webpage imply that you need to buy a £60 Top-Up first.

This is also confusing:
Special offer
Get a free Orange Lisbon with £60 top up Ready Deal bundle. Offer not available online, please add mobile to trolley to reserve for store pick-up. Offer is included in pack. Please note it will not show in your trolley. Offer ends 21st January 2011.
Where do you get the FREE Orange Lisbon from?
Anyone who has already bought the phone should return it to Argos if the additional £60 payment turns out to be a requirement because it is not clear!

Quick there is one left in Eltham London Se9!

Ready Deal states you must buy £60 up front and then you get the £10 credited per month, and Argos states this is the ready deal, hence the reduction in price, so as a light user I'll not be purchasing.
