Following much confusion here is the true deal.

Phone up orange and give them a orange number. They will then offer is for £74.99 rather than £104.99 this is tried and tested and works :)

If you have no orange phone just say your friend got it for £74.99

Number to call is: 0800 079 2000 however people seem to get more luck when phoning 150

Hope this helps!!

Looks like it is now £84.99 with £10 top up but its worth it!

Ooo... trying to get a piece of the action ;)

Could you use the Orange number from an older San Francisco to get a new San Francisco at this price?

Friend is after a budget smartphone and I already have a San Fran.

I would phone and check as you have to have a min of £10 credit so the phone should have been £64.99 plus £10 credit.

Aye, same here. No credit included. But glad to get the phone anyway. Salesperson also said that the current deal was £80 for "certain customers" but pushed on the £74.99 price and got it.

Just upgraded from a RAZR V3 (!!!) using this offer. I absolutely detest mobile phones/the mobile phone culture (and I'm not even an old fogey), but £65 seems a reasonable price for something quite up-to-date.

Thanks OP (and thanks to the others before you who also posted similar/identical deals).

Just spoke to a lady who said she isn't allowed to do this offer. She said the managers have had so many calls about 'friends' getting this and without proof of being an existing orange PAYG customer it is a breech of the sales assistant's contract to sell it at a lower price than 104.99. :(
#20
Then what if i am with orange payg but not with 3 months yet..around 2month
would they offer me this price?

Sucks that they won't offer it to us rolling contract holders... Best hope that my nan is still on orange pay as you go! :p

Copy and Paste from Original Deal:

If you have an orange PAYG simcard you can get £20 off which brings it down to £89.99, just call the sales team on 0800 079 2000 and ask for the discount! Some people have got it for £78.99, it often takes multiple phone calls to get it for that price and you will also certainly need an orange payg sim card that you have topped up recently to get a price of £78.99, £82.99 or £89.99 which are the 3 prices most people get quoted. As of early december nearly everyone is getting the £78.99 price now, it seems orange is happy to sell it at that price for existing payg customers.

And People in this thread can't get it. So all you've done is got lucky, getting a lower price than others who also got lucky, and posted a new deal as your own.

Wow sorry sir. Don't cry

God this constant posting for the sake of a few quid difference is getting a bit boring now.

I would say to anyone who has called with a PAYG account and been rejected for this deal to just call back again. It might take you 2, 3 or 4 more attempts but you will eventually be offered the deal. It only loosely depends on how long you have been an Orange PAYG "customer" and how much you have or haven't topped up by. The main deciding factor is the mere luck of the draw as to who you get through to at the other end.

Sorry contract customers they seem to exclude you from this deal. You really do need a PAYG sim to get the discount.

I have a touchscreen android phone but still carry an ordinary slider around. so easy to make calls etc and to answer a call just slide open phone. I do appreciate that these things are great for the internet and emails but not sure about using as a phone.

It couldn't be any easier to use for phone calls.

Just called up and got it for £74.99 quoting a genuine Orange number (on an old "Equivalent To Virgin" tariff). Didn't bother pushing the £10 credit as I just wanted the phone. Thanks OP.

I'll still trying to get hold of an orange number to use for this discount, tried the "friend got at for..." twice and it didn't work. Tried a contract number and it didn't work. Anyone with a qualifying account or with a spare for sale, please pm me.... I just sold a new nokia 5230 on auctionbay with the intention of getting in on some android action and so far no joy
#31
just got the offer from my mums PAYG (over 10 years)

original quote was for 104.99 but i asked is there any loyality discount, and right away he said he could take 30quid off

had a good chat with the guy, he said there had been loads of calls, and they were being very selective in who they offeR discount to. Said had a lot of people calling up, demanding that they recieve the 30quid off and a lot of them not even orange customers!

he said that they will probably pull the 30quid discount just because of all the calls

also mentioned the 8quid discount for 4 extra sims, told me that it was currently being investigated and it really shouldnt have happened, the sales guy basically exploited to bump up his sales.

so 74.99 for phone including 10quid top-up................ HOT

Yes they asked for my PAYG -No credits so I mentioned I was a pay monthly customer. They looked up my account and saw I'd been a customer for a while.

Ordered 2 Grey ones today.

My first call got a lady who told me £104 was the price when I mentioned the £30 discount that a friend at work had got she said "oh that's on the web site" popped up the web site there was no offer. She said £104. Thanked the lady for her time and said perhaps I'll look in store....

Dialed straight back and got 2 greys SFs!
