What about £20 Top Up
and
Can anyone please confirm this.
I already have oled version. but could do with another one.
#3
I would be interested if anyone selling their unwanted SF here.
#4
As above, I have seen this price for a while in Orange stores, but always required a £20 top up?
#5
anyway to avoid the 20 pounds topup ?
#6
£20 topup is required but I said I already had an Orange Sim Card and showed them it.

This seems like a good deal for a good phone, seems strange that I haven't come across this phone before being a hukd regular and all. ;)

My lovely boyfriend just rang three stores in the East of England...all doing the OSF for £79.99 for the rest of the weekend but confirmed that you must buy the £20 top up - they said there was no way around it. If you already have a PAYG orange sim card, they can load the credit onto your existing number, if not the effective phone price is £99.99.

How does this compare to a Samsung Monte?

Thanks for posting this, voted hot. It’s about time we had something other than the entire stock from HMV with a 20% off code……even if it is the ever present orange San Francisco ;)
#11
Oh well fair enough, will edit the title then. Not really that good a deal compared to the price online last month.
#12
Went to buy one in the Leicester store, but only one person serving, so ending up leaving with nothing.

The sales assistant couldn't even take the time to say "Be with you in a minute".
Poor show.

Re the £20 top up - why not just bet on an odds-on favourite via Betnow - such as Real Madrid to beat Almeria or Celtic to win the cup or an even shorter odds bet. I do this with the top ups that mobile co's insist on.
Or to achieve certainty that you'll get your money back use Betfair to match your bet.

they give £20 off for NHS staff, you need recent payslip, you might sell the sim card on ebay.
#15
can you use your orange phone fund with that price?

Sold my OLED one on ebay for 180 quid lol.

Nice little phone though and well worth the money if your into flashing roms.
#17
This phone was around 80 quid a few weeks ago and, if i remember correctly, didnt need the top up. I hesitated though thinking the price would stay the same and it ended up going to this. Really dont need the top up :-(

I think I'll pop mine on ebay too. It's one week old and put a screen protector on it before I set it up. It is also unlocked but I really do not like it. I sold my 2 week old wildfire too so maybe it's not the phones but Android. Compared to the apps on my itouch (cannot afford an iphone) all the android apps seem very poor. I cannot use it for my gmail account (as the itouch) as it will import every e-mail address you have ever sent to. I don't want any of that, only being able to receive the mails. I contacted Orange and there's nothing you can do apart from hide them. Seems this is an Android 'fault' IMO as they said it was the same for any android handset. Can anyone suggest a different phone?

If you go to http://www.google.co.uk/contacts you can create groups of contacts to sync with the phone, if this is what you mean

No phone will allow you to only receive emails and not see the sent ones. You're asking for the impossible here. In other words, if you go by that requirement you will never get a phone which does what you want.

You can ring up orange with any pay as you go sim card and get £30 discount, making the phone £74.99. I don't see how this deal is better?

No, didn't make it clear enough. I want to see the mails I have sent and received; what I don't want is every e-mail address I have ever sent to get added to my phonebook contact list. I find it stupid since the phonebook IMO is for phone numbers and not hundreds of e-mail addresses.

When my partner rang to try and get this offer yesterday, we were basically told that they do not offer this any more....otherwise we would have snapped it up double quick! :|

He has a San Fran and is really happy with it after tweaking it to within an inch of its life, and I'm so impressed that I want one to play with for the last 6 months of my current contract! I'm currently living with the now dinosaur-esque Nokia 5800 X) The OSF is like god in comparison!

If it's the original Wildfire I'd go for the San Francisco every time.

Hi, how did you debrand it? If I can get rid of all the orange apps and stuff it may be worth keeping then.
Thanks.

I see. Download a phone book replacement application such as GO Contacts and you can choose what you want to appear there (meaning you can remove your Google email account addresses).
