ORANGE SAN FRANCISCO II MOBILE PHONE - BLACK - £64.00 - Argos eBay
Seems a good price for a decent budget android phone., brand new with 12 month warranty. Was going to buy one of the extra budget phones, but maybe this is worth the £24 extra.

Have to agree, picked up the TMobile Vivacity (same phone, different case) for £39 a few months back for 9 year old son's birthday. Its a fine phone for that age group (could do with a bit more memory), but I dont think I would pay £60+ for it if I had to replace it.

Day to day use about the same performance wise, but that big screen on the G300 makes a big difference - it feels faster and more capable
check spec ..as older version didn't allow conference calls using camera and sure it runs 3D games .. but not high end one .. but again that was the old one

100% agree
meanwhile are you sure about the video calls? i was not able to do that in earlier versions .. when you try to run skype or other similar softwares it was always a struggle and my camera view always was blacked with no picture.. but again that was in the previous version of the phone.. and that was really the only negative experience .. if they fixed that, it will be really the perfect smartphone for ordinary use for such price

...I've read that it works okay with the Tango App but has problems with Skype...but then a lot of devices have problems with Skype. I have a Galaxy Tab 10.1 and that cannot Skype, but it does appear to do Tango fine. I really want to be able to video call my other half using the WiFi App so this is really, really tempting!
...my phone is a San Francisco 1, still going strong and still a brilliant phone... ...I'm sure the high-end Samsungs and the over-priced iphone are far, far superior but I just want a phone with Net capability and video calling...this seems to be perfect for a fabulous price!
Its a nice phone a big feature which is overlooked by a lot of people is Signal Boost. It lets you make calls over WiFi. Ideal if you live in a iffy signal location or older thick walled house like me. Without it if I walk from one end of my house (or even room to room) to the other I would normally lose signal. With Signal Boost it just switches over to WiFi if I hit a black spot.
Orange have it listed at £69.99 which if your already with Orange pay as you go might work out cheaper when using phone fund.
