Remember guys this is the TFT screen, not the OLED one. Not necessarily a problem, but its not as good a screen as the led.... I own both versions (my son has one you see)

As for cases, the E71 gel case fits great after you use a craft knife to modify it slightly.

I'd disagree, I prefer the TFT screen, it's superior when using low brightness (which you will do). the OLED screen suffers from colour tinging like most other OLED screens.

yeah they're pretty good, quick to dispatch. i had to return the phone because my sister had received an iphone from someone else and this company was extremely quick to sort out a refund for me, no faffing about, which i deem to be a pretty good thing!

been reading the posts on that site, is the firmware update really a big improvement? how dificult is it to flash the software

Think you got that one the wrong way round mate, the TFT is worse for Battery life as the blacks are lit. Also the screen looks poor in comparison to the amoled. The amoled is a more sought after model and goes for a fair bit more second hand on the auction site.

Look on youtube for amoled vs tft

OLED's have half the lifespan of an LCD, and they suffer screen blur from heavy use, like satnav for example. Think I'd rather have LCD as a personal preference... Plus they seem to carry a saving of between £50 - £60 at the moment. A fool and his money ;)

BTW - You can still get these at Very.co.uk for £72.95 delivered + TopCashBack if you are a first time customer.

I would never use prepaymania again as they took payment before shipping and 2 weeks later after cancellation still no refund. Called twice sent a dozen emails and no reply. Maybe with paypal and ebay you will be luckier.

I like the smooth one. It's more rigid and scratch resistant.

I bought this phone from orange around 8 weeks ago and when I make/receive a call on it the phone beeps and then cuts me off.I thought it may be due to it being a touch screen and part of my ear touching the screen so I started having the screen at a slant so my ear doesn't touch the screen but it still cuts me off and it isn't my battery.it foes this whenever I make a lengthy call of around 20+ mins so the 1st thing I have to say to the person I'm talking to is that if the connection goes I'll call them back.other than this problem (which is quite a big one) the phone is very nice. If anyone has a solution or has had the same problem can you please pm me as this is driving me nuts.I know obviously that I can return the phone to orange but I need use of a mobile on a daily basis.any help would be appreciated

Orange will courrier you a replacement the next day. You hand over yours to the courrier, so you're not without your phone.
The screen should turn off when you make a call and hold it to your ear.

? They both retail at the same price new? Or they did when you could get the amoled. I don't own either, but have seen both inthe flesh, and would prefer the amoled than the cheaper to make tft. Rumour has it apple wanted to use amoled for the ipad 2, but constrained supply means they won't be usec until ipad3 .

Btw, Would be interested to see the stats on ths phone which show the amoled versions have half he lifespan.
