Please don't click cold without actually reading! Sorry if this has been posted before, but I could not find this particular deal.

I recently moved house, got myself cheap line rental from Primus and then started searching for the best broadband only deal that I could find in my area.

If O2 supports your area this deal might be better for you: http://6monthoffer.o2.co.uk/

Anyways I digress, I came across this deal and figured it was pretty good, you need to to be an existing Orange customer for this price which I am not, however a mate is a PAYG customer so I gave them his number and the order went through fine for me.

At £10 a month with a £40 voucher combined with unlimited usage I could not find anyone cheaper, hope this helps someone.

I got a letter from BT today offering me 20mb broadband and unlimited anytime calls including 0845 +0870 numbers, and a free BT Home Hub for £9.70 a month. Debating whether or not to change as I've been paying AOL £9.99 a month for broadband + anytime calls for the last 2 years.

Looks very hot.

How much are you paying for line rental with Primus, David?
Orange only charge £11.50.

Was confused by the title. It makes it seem like you need a £40 Amazon voucher to get the deal. Maybe that's why people are voting cold.

If you have a quick look at: http://www.homephonechoices.co.uk/primus-saver.html

I went for the Primus Home Phone Saver at £7.99 as it includes unlimmited evening and weekend calls, but the landline rental on it's own is only £6.79.

Have amended the title, hopefully people will stop voting cold!

Before taking on Orange broadband you might want to look at this site: http://www.orangeproblems.co.uk/phpBB2/recent.php

Voted hot because the deals not bad and I was considering it myself a couple of weeks ago, but read the reviews and that site and decided not too. Went to O2 instead.

That's a good price.
Orange's full package is £21.50. This includes 20meg unlimited broadband, free anytime calls (includes 0870 & 0845 numbers) and line rental.

Good price form a terrible company.....wouldn't touch Orange BB with a bargepole. So will vote hot on price alone.

As usual all those voting cold do not bother to leave a reason, doubt most of them even bothered to read the posting...... So annoying.

I'm not sure you'll get a very balanced picture by going to a site called orangeproblems?

Hi

I am currently on Orange broadband and phone (evenings and weekends). I can only have praise for it - speeds is always about 4MB and no disruption in services for past 8 months!

I wanted to know if OP can guide. Is it possible to take up Primus phone and just have Orange broadband? - I thought that was not possible. Would they allow me to do it as I am on 18 month contract or I cannot do this now until 18 months are up?

They signed me up ok, Primus paid BT to setup my line so I guess it's effectively a BT line anyway.

I'm pretty sure you won't - but would you want a product that many seem to think so bad they create a website to list the problems?
