This is just a bit of helpful info for people who are looking to upgrade or cancel their Orange mobile phone contract. I know people won't necessarily get the same upgrade deal but it's an example of what they're prepared to offer.

I was originally on a £25 tariff with 400 mins and 500 texts - my contract runs out on 31st Jan 2011 and i rang orange before christmas to see what they could offer in the way of an upgrade (they offered 400 mins 500 text and free Omnia 7 for £27.50)

I declined Oranges offer, rang a few other companies (T Mobile price matched the £27.50 deal) so i rang orange last wk to cancel my contract and they offered the deal shown in the title!!

After shopping around, it seems you have to pay a £35 tariff to get a free Samsung Omnia 7 so if you're an Orange customer and coming to the end of your contract, it's worth haggling!

Not been able to add a picture - will try again unless someone can help me out??! Thanks

orange retention deals are personal and not generic, they base them on a points system, points that you've accumulated with them, for example my current orange contract which is 13months old on a 18 month contract with HTC Hero (free), £30 line rental, 2200 x network mins, 1000 orange to orange and landline, 500 texts and 500mb data

my old one was everything unlimited for £40 a month on a nokia n95 8gb

orange have been doing this for yrs, they all do even 3

i just thought i'd show people what orange are prepared to offer people to retain their business. I know each individual case is different but I have only been with them for 18 months and have spent no more than my £25 tariff in that time so surely alot of people would be in a similar predicament and be offered an upgrade similar to this if it's based on a points system??
