If you are due an Orange Upgrade and your on Dolphin £35 or similar you will be offered 500 x-net mins and unlimited txts for £20 per month instead of £35 and a new phone. I had 3 months left on my contract but called 150 as my phone had broken and got a new phone and this great deal!! You can also get home phone and broadband for £15 per month and you dont have to pay any BT line rental!

n3tto how did you manage to get it down to £20?? My contract ends soon and was thinking about ending the contract but £20 seems not bad!

Any help would be appreciated.

it depends on what rating u are with them. i had like 4-5 months left but coz i had high bills i was rated as a high spender so they gave me a good deal and let me have an N95... i know its old now but at the time it was good, and they gave me some other things my sister rang as her situations were the same but she didn't spend as much as me and they turned her down so i think its about how much have spent!

i've been on dolphin 35 too and upgraded last week. I got 600xmins and unlimited texts for £25.00 per month. Plus I get to keep my orange broadband for free too. ;-) Upgrade phone was the sony ericsson w910i.

Did you ask to upgrade or tell them you want to leave?

I'm about to upgrade from dolphin35 and what you've got is exactly what im after.

i was honest and said that i had been very happy with my contract and would like to continue but i'd be better off starting a new contract via a cashback company, could they do me a deal. the guy was very helpful and reduced line rental to £25, gave me an extra 100xmins and waived the £49.99 upgrade handset charge.

I called expecting to cancel my 2 contracts with orange to take out a new deal with free gift etc... but got talking to the guy and he said he can offer me a dolphin £35 for £20 on both contracts 500 mins and unlimited txts with a free new phone. I snapped his hand off and 2 Sony K850i's arrived today! I've also swapped my home tel to orange too including broadband that i already have its £15 a month for broadband and free evening and weekend calls and you dont have to pay BT for liner ental its all included fairly cheap deal too!

Why is this so cold??????

P.S My spend was £40 and £35 previously if that helps.

This is a useful post, but i doubt this is a specific deal.

There is a lot of haggling your mobile contract on renewal on MSE - basically goes on the lines of - the contract is a very powerful tool, so many companies/deals out there so retention of business is the key.

Basically find the phone you want and best price plan (make sure the phone is available on your network) - ring up with about 3 months to go, enquire about an upgrade and if they say they can't offer you that phone for free or those mins/texts then ask for cancellation department.

Cancellations always seem to have more power, and you can always back out at the last minute.
