I had one of these (briefly) a little under a year ago and found it truly, truly awful. Got a different phone after a few weeks. Maybe it was me.....

I agree with op... not the best phone in the world!...

I would go further...not the best phone ANYWHERE!

I bought one cheap from Dial-a-phone (attracted by the specifications vs price)... big mistake. Sure, like many people I thought I had a real bargain... til I took it out my pocket one day at work and the screen was dead. I had only used it a handful of times, and it was now useless. Whats worse, even though it was under 12 months old, if I wanted to get it fixed I would have to pay £17!!!... it only cost £20 (with £10 credit included)... I checked my rights and basically it was true that they can charge an unspecified admin fee for return/repair, so I was stuffed. Seems they had this policy for all ZTE phones, maybe says something about the build quality.

Save yourself a lot of bother... just dont get this cheap rubbish, maybe just pay more or get something with a lower spec... otherwise you will regret buying this ZTE trash for sure.

I had 1 of these, sent it back for a refund after 2 days.
The most useless phone I ever had the misfortune of touching.

I had one too but the only thing that let it down was the battery life. I couldn't buy another battery so I sold it, I was sad to see it go :(

Honestly guy's don't get one. These are a complete waste of time.Very poor quality.Got rid of mine as soon as possible.

And I wouldn't use Argos eBay if they run out of stock they just send whatever they have , I ordered a rotary watch last week and they sent an ingersoll, and the returns process is a sham for such a big company... Good luck trying to get through on the 0870 number they supply.

It's certainly not the best phone, as touch screen it not great, but for the price can't complain. It's a good present for a child's first mobile. Also, our experience of the battery is that it's good - charges quickly and lasts a long time.

What nonsense. So that's never happened to any other manufactures phone before? You just had a duff one, it happens!

Both my wife and my son use this phone. Had for over a year now with no problems at all. My wife is mobile hairdresser so her's lives a very hard life and is still fine. I think some people are setting there expectations a bit too high for a £20 phone.

ZTE also makes the San Francisco you know? A specific phone model dont make ZTE **** company that you make out to be.

At £19.98 including delivery I was thinking of buying one for my daughter, but having just seen the auction price of the phone go up from £17.99 to £21.99 and they also increased the p+p charge from £1.99 to £2.99 I will definatley give it a miss now.

My wife had this for about a week and gave up going back to the old phone. I had a play and it was okay for calls and texting. However I tried gmail via the browser and it never loaded. The error I received my not enough memory. You get what you pay for I suppose.

On the other hand my Blade (AKA Orange San Fransisco) also made by ZTE is of a much better build. Now the wife wants one of those.

I received this phone from Argos outlet yesterday and it doesn't work. Can't get through on the telephone number provided and they haven't got back to me through email today. I paid through paypal so will get a refund somehow.

I have never owned a San Francisco but assuming it is actually a good phone then that is still an interesting comment, with that kind of logic I should maybe buy a Chevrolet Lacetti based on the test drive of a Corvette... or I could just re-apply your own logic and say that nor does a specific phone model(i.e.San Francisco) make ZTE a good company either. The point I am making is the retailer I used has a separate returns policy for this brand of phone (ZTE) and that under this separate returns policy unlike ANY other brand of phone (which are ALL free to return) you get charged an amount similar to the cost of a new phone, which in my view leads me to believe they have a lot of problems with the brand.

sigh!... I never said that's never happened to any other manufacturers phone before, I acknowledge all brands of phones can have problems, but in my case I found that if I had actually bought ANY other brand then it would have got repaired for free, but because I chose a ZTE I had to pay a fee.... As for my expectations, they were not too high, the phone was unusable within a month or so of buying it and bear in mind all new goods are supposed to be fit for purpose for a period of at least 12 months.

.... sorry to hear that wevettewilliams. Maybe you would like to explain to the others just how bad this phone is, because they don`t seem to want to accept it from me.
