I purchased these last year and they are rubbish! my advice save an extra £10 any buy some that work

I'm sure I - and others - would love to know what, and where, we can buy an alternative for £10 that 'work'? The posting was for one particular brand and model, £15+ cheaper than anywhere else. It may not be a top quality brand but it's still the cheapest.

read my post properly i said "save an extra £10" meaning save up £10 and spend £30. I ended up getting some binatone ones and they work fine. I got them for when I went on holiday with another family and we drove - could speak to the other family in there car even when they were a mile up the road. these are the ones I ended up getting http://www.johnlewis.com/230418231/Product.aspx?source=22009

Not at all, everyone has their own experiences with a product, whether good or bad :)

They are only really the 8 PMR frequencies - when they claim 304 channels - it is really a squelch code at the start of each transmission that will permit the other radio to try to ignore other transmissions on the same frequency.
