I realised after purchase that Battlefield 4 is Keyboard and Mouse only (as far as I am aware?!)

I like using gamepads (I know, I know...). Is Hardline K&M only too?

Hi as I have never paid to download a game before a bit of advice needed, will it only work on the PC downloaded to or could it be transferred to disc to play on another or in the event of a PC failure and is there anything tricky or do you just pay and click download and off you go?

Cheers for any advice.

I was like you 3 weeks ago. Kept thinking about using my PS4 controller on PC but then I thought screw it and bought Overwatch on PC and kept playing with Keyboard and Mouse and getting destroyed. Now I'm comfortable with it and winning matches. It's gets easier as you go along and sniping feels more better than on Pad.

you cant download to disc. if your pc fails, youll need to download and sign in to origin on the new pc and download the game again. there are ways to save the game data to external drives so you don't have to download the whole game again, its as easy as backing up certain game folders and copying them over to the new pc. youll still need to activate the game download again on the new pc though.

bf4 can be played with a pad, but I found I couldn't map everything well. so ended up using KM. also youd get mullered on pad.

As a new PC gamer, I get destroyed regardless :) I haven't tried a pad on an FPS on PC yet, simply as I'm trying to train myself and git gud.

At the moment, I suck donkey-nuts which is disappointing coming from a reasonably accurate controller ability on console. However, I know aim assist has a lot to account for there, but still :(

You can use gamepad but there is no aim assist, same as battlefront and overwatch, as such you will find it incredibly difficult to hit anything. I came from console to pc having used a gamepad my whole life and couldnt hit a beach ball with a tennis racket in these games. Eventually caved and bought mouse and keyboard, i was terrible for a month (still bad) but do find it more enjoyable playing FPS' with this input method.

Cheers chaps.
Are these issues the same for campaign on Battlefield?
#26
It still has a lot of players playing, enough that there is always a match going, but I wish they would release the premium at this price with this sale, I had to buy the game before this sale on a new account and miss my dlc :(

It's still worth buying to get used to Battlefield for those coming to PC from console, prepare before BF1 releases so you don't get destroyed for being new to keyboard and mouse, it might take some getting used to but it's worth it and for £4 you can't go wrong really.
